AU for Star Trek: Voyager where they kept the cringe lizard babies Janeway and Paris had in Threshold also they didn’t fully recover from the process and now they all look like mutated lizard freaks.

what if at some point during Deadlock, Kathryn experiences one of her like residual ghost sadnesses from fourth baby Hobbes/Neelix who she cant remember existing

like im thinking kathryn meeting baby naomi and seeing shes blonde (maybe a bit of a reach considering fourth baby was never humanized haha) or another idea is when kathryn finds out their version of naomi didnt make it,,,,,, orrrrr like when she realizes the other version of her children are going to die along with the rest of the other Voyager crew,,,,,, anyway her eyes just tear up and she doesnt know why exactly hehe buried and repressed memories

thinking about a vague story of philippa having to interact with and work alongside a young kathryn, maybe theyre around the same age if not kathryn being a bit younger and ironically the less experienced officer between them. no idea what it’d entail plot-wise exactly but just another temporal prime directive romp for the family lol.

i had a clear vision in my head of young kathryn getting really inquisitive and nosy with philippa and asking why/how she knows so much about kathryn, what she’s like in the future, what species is she?,,,,, to the point of discreetly pulling out a tricorder to take readings of philippa, saying “this doesnt make sense” (because shes reading as a human lol) and philippa swiping the tricorder away from her without elaborating haha. i think philippa would be pretty tight lipped the whole time. trying to get through this annoying side quest asap.

i dont think id go through with this idea only because it potentially super overcomplicates kathryn after Threshold seeing philippa and being like :( realizing she was her daughter and it also points out philippa specifically too early which i dont like haha, shes da underdog daughter. plus the weight of her having kids is already so RAW as is haha. unless it just totally splits the timeline like how Shattered and The Denzit ended up working.

today i was thinking about Places of Exile and Fire Ship and how the fork in the timeline there is Scorpion and while PoE janeway loses tuvok and tom its also the timeline where she finds peace in her circumstances in the delta quadrant (GOD TIER TREK WRITING!!!!!!!)

and FS janeway kinda deals with a similar vice of coming to terms with losing her entire crew and reevaluating her whole life circumstance and becoming an engineer on an alien ship and eventually its captain and she gives up on earth (GOD TIER TREK WRITING!!!!!!!!!!) AND THIS ONES BETA CANON

but anyway id have to reread Places of Exile but im curious as to where the “epilogue” for it lands chronologically because eventually chakotay and janeway get together and have a baby lalala and i was HERE IT COMES thinking about designing Shannon (their daughter lol) for threshold au IM FULL OF IDEAS BUT 0 MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!! devastating

but anyway i just think its cute to imagine how the two timelines line up, like janeway probably still has long hair in PoE because it never got burnt off like it did in FS haha. i also fantasize about designing an ambassador outfit for chakotay, maybe a new uniform for janeway idk if she ever changed in PoE with her little “federation” she makes. maybe i can off one of the triplets 😈

i always think about the beauty of them using the name Shannon is that tom died in PoE before they could live out him telling janeway his unfortunate news about her actually unimportant ancestor lmao so she still holds her up with pride in PoE and they name their baby after her lmao WHICH IS!!!!!! SO GREAT BECAUSE THATS LITERALLY THE MESSAGE BEHIND SHANNONS WHOLE STORY IN 11:59!!!!!!!!!!!! janeway coming to terms with her life and finding happiness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just had a liddle thought like i know for tagging and stuff ive always just tagged the threshold triplets with the last name janeway for ease and disassociation with tom but i like to think (and unless something in canon would necessitate last names which,,, nothings coming to mind) that theyd maybe only retain the last name janeway post-endgame sometime. like tom has started his own family, janeway truly has no one, maybe he’d kinda insist they take it??? idk maybe thats a bad idea but im thinking like once theyre getting official medical records and stuff they need them or something. i think while on voyager, the matters a little too awkward to mull on and they just have first names for however long. maybe middle names for fun down the line. :)

ive been struggling with what to do with amelia that is satisfying to my brain post-FAT arc for a long time and i recently had the thought of maybe philippa inviting her to live aboard the galaxy class starship she captains (Elysium probably)

when and why that’d come up idk. and lord i gotta make a timeline sooooo bad bc i think about ages and its all a blur hahaha

figure philippa would at least have Moss. :) maybe before jellybean’s fic since she has a lil baby by that point (((and also married))) itd be cute if amelia helped pushed them along a little bit finally.

but im thinking its a way to get her out of the house and off the planet, get her into stellar cartography maybe but as a civilian.

threshold au i just had a psychic vision of kathryn during like the full circle books when shes You Know around like Acts of Contrition/Atonement, possibly more Atonement but like when theyre spending months in space delivering the body swap aliens to their giant worm like maybe theyd stop at some planets inbetween and shes like Hardcore nesting instincts for baby soon and shes on a merchant planet or whatever looking at wears for things shed be inclined to use for her nest like weird fabrics and shiz hahaha idk i can just see her holding something weird and ugly up made of alien silk being like “this is perfect” and chakotays like “hahah otay you da boss” 👍

im reading this Voyager book rn called The Black Shore that involves the crew in early season 3 taking shore leave on this exotic black beach planet and i keep thinking about this old jellybeans writing and being like HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

i may be jumping the gun on thinking janeway might have TIME to go for a swim with her lil babies (and also before the plot sets in where this planet either has a dark secret or is a trap/scam lmao) but the idea is nice :3

had a little vision in my head of her day time playing with the triplets in the water,

its funny to think that for a time after the warp 10 incident, tom paris acts exceptionally bad because theyre trying to snuff out the mole,,, all of this intertwined with him skiving off from being around his kids (ambiguously a real aversion to them or not, chakotay would take it a certain way and has the evidence of daddy issues to back it up)

like what if after Investigations plot resolves tom is all of a sudden more like Interested in helping out and playing with the kids lol i still think it takes him a while to take parenting seriously, but itd be a start. :) funnily happening sooner than kathryn, if Coda is what we consider to be that final barrier of aversion for her lol
