I’m reaching out to ask for help because my current job has essentially screwed me over for the month of May. Instead of working 25 hours that I was told I be able to, I’m only working 10 hours a week (all I can have, per my department, for right now) and I have $10 in my bank account. My department has essentially giving me no hours and all I can pay is my cell phone bill and power bill and will not provide me with anymore hours.
I have signed up with a workforce agency that has work for me next weekend; if my boss and supervisor allow me to be let out of my contract, I will have more steady work for the rest of the summer and the academic school year. I am also applying to work part-time on-campus. I just need to get through the rest of May and half of June. If people could signal boost this so I can buy toiletries and groceries, I would appreciate it so much and would pay it forward when I'm able. I'm begging at this point. I have nowhere else to turn to and I'm desperate.
