i lied!! i’m posting my roberto facts from satan no sabaki now!! i have no self control and i love roberto!!! some of these really have no significance whatsoever, they’re just little things. there are two important bolded points though

wow, i wasn’t expecting such a response to my satan no sabaki posts!! hello new followers! seeing as the novels aren’t published in english and show no signs of that happening in the near future, i’m glad i can provide some details for the time being

so, a few things:

i’m just as shocked as you are about that hiraga description…. let it be known i took no liberties in that translation. the words used were literally セクシー (sekushii) and 肉感的 (nikkanteki), which can only be translated in those exact words

something i think is of note is that i wouldn’t categorize these as light novels, but as legitimate novels. they’re simply referred to as novels on japanese sites as well. of course, thores does the illustrations for the dust covers, but that’s the extent of any illustration in the novels. additionally, while light novels are generally 100 pages or less, the vkc novels are 300-500+ pages each. light novels generally refer to “light reading.” vkc is dense with historical, theological, and scientific explanations. just something i thought you all should know!

i plan on buying the first novel (i don’t want to buy anything ahead of satan no sabaki because i don’t want spoilers, depending on how far the anime goes), and i also want to go back and translate the Snake Scene™ because it plays out differently and uh, more suggestive. “is that even possible?” you ask. i’m vigorously nodding.
