Hey so idk if I have any followers who are at all into hazbin since I’ve kinda existed in Hater Spaces for years now but uh

I did make a hazbin blog, @jollydeertyphoon

This may seem weird for someone who has been a Hazbin Hater™️ for years BUT. I realized that just completely condemning it without actually interacting with it directly doesn’t align with my beliefs as far as media criticism and such goes.

And I think Hazbin is something that has a lot of artistic value, and the writing is actually alright, but it’s bogged down by a spiteful writer who isn’t interested in listening to critique or unpacking her own biases.

Hazbin is something I think could be really good if it was good!

And I do like parts of it. BUT I like it while still being critical of its pretty glaring flaws.

I know I’ve got some friends/followers who don’t want to see hazbin stuff which is why the only thing that will ever end up on THIS blog is if I’ve drawn or written something I want to promote (in which case it’ll be tagged so content filters can catch it). But if you like hazbin you can join me over there, with the warning that I will probably be voicing criticism as much as anything else I post there

Admittedly I’m nervous to post about this because I know that some people (idk if this goes for any of my mutuals or followers) act like . Enjoying or interacting with this show at all, even if you’re critical and aware of its actual problems, is some sort of moral failing. BUT I like to think I’m a good judge of character so hopefully none of y’all see it that way

and I’m happy to like. Clarify what I mean if anything is confusing
