Ginny Weasley as a part-time model for Daily Prophet advertisements!

My friend @dramioneandhpobsessed had this absolutely wonderful idea for Daily Prophet ads with the women of the Wizarding World starring in them, and I really couldn't help but work on it!

She sent me some amazingly creative ideas for Wizarding products (with some hilarious ad copies), so here's the first of them, fully designed:

This is amazing. I love my catnip. Not only did it grow back after the winter, but it’s even bigger than last year. I guess it’s thanking me for leaving it outside all year after almost killing it inside. Mother Nature definitely knows best here. Plus, my cats love it.

One of my great-aunts died when she was 16. She died right after Christmas. When she was asked what she wanted for Christmas, and if she wanted these fancy red shoes, she told my great-grandparents not to get them because she wouldn’t be around for it. She wasn’t even sick at the time, but she somehow knew. It was 1930 and she got strep throat. It escalated and turned into Scarlet Fever and she died in the hospital.

I’ve always felt really connected to her and also sad at the whole incident. I was able to connect with her through an ancestor tarot spread a couple months ago or so and I was saying that I felt really sorry about what she had to go through and that it was unfair. She gave me some advice as well.

1. Be okay where you are in life.

2. Celebrate you and everything in your life. It’ll be okay.

3. You can break negative cycles.

It’s amazing the wisdom of this girl who had to die so young.

Honestly most witchcraft posts i see are portrayed as this aesthetically pleasing thing, having many candles and fancy tools. I find it very hard to relate to and also a bit classist tbh. Many of the posts have an underlying tone that sounds a lot like “you NEED to have these tools to be a real witch” (false, you can do witchcraft without any tools) Witchcraft is a personal thing and you get to decide how it looks. You don’t need to have brand new crystals for every spell, or a neatly organised grimoire. Most of my tools are second hand, thrifted and gifts. They work just as well as any shiny new things :) also it’s better for the environment to reuse things 🌱 if you want to/have the money to have brand new things and super pretty set ups then all power to you. I just find it less stressful to do spells when i don’t have to worry about it being perfect. So basically, it’s ur craft, ur rules ~

Sidenote; mistakes are bound to happen, like stuttering or drawing a symbol slightly off. That’s completely okay!! Take your time to refocus and don’t let it dishearten you. And you don’t need to be doing spells every day to be a “real” witch.

As someone with a medical diet (celiac plus a soy allergy) the responses on this AITA thread are pissing me the fuck off … loads of people saying YTA and basically that OP shouldn’t eat out because they have a dietary restriction???

I’ve had restaurants Fuck up and lie to me about it (once had a regular bun given to me on a burger and after one bite I KNEW it wasn’t GF but they sat there and insisted it was, then gave me a new bun that looked/tasted nothing like the first one … i was still in pain for a week because of that first bite). It sucks and it is ABSOLUTELY their fault when told that an order is a certain way due to allergy/intolerance/medical condition.

Edit to add: I’ll sometimes take the risk of cross contamination because I have pills that work for low-level exposure. But I expect to not be served a straight up the thing I have issues with when I specifically order gluten free. When it’s something like OP’s situation where the solution is to just not serve them the wrong soda, I have very little sympathy for Fuck-ups.

I completely agree. I have epilepsy as well and know the extremes. I am not on the keto diet but I’m vegetarian partly for that. I also have celiacs and am lactose intolerant. So when I go to a restaurant and ask for something gluten free or dairy free and they give me the wrong thing, I get really sick. So I agree with the OP. They had every right to get upset with the restaurant.

My ancestral work is the most important religious thing I’ve ever done. Feeling my Grandmother here with me in adulthood is so wonderful and I am so glad to have her, truly. I know she’s proud of me, she tells me in divination. She’s the best part of me and I’m so THANKFUL I get to still find ways to talk to her.

I once rolled some aluminum foil into a cone and used it as a pendulum. I wasn’t a huge fan of how lightweight it was, but it did function pretty well.

Something heavy like the nut part of a bolt and nut set will often work better than a fancy crystal pendulum. Sometimes you’ll spot one lying in a parking lot and you’ve suddenly got a free pendulum.

I originally bought a black tourmaline fancy one but then I decided to use a necklace I have. It works WAY better. I mean it’s super easy to control, whoever uses it. Like when I would use it to communicate with ancestors, I could tell how much easier it was for them because I didn’t feel it trying to force itself to move.

I helped a very old ancestor yesterday from the 1700’s and it was not easy. I had no idea who he was and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t speak English. He’s from Germany and died in New Jersey.

I was asking my ancestors in general when I was online and looking at my family tree. I asked who would like help and to tell me. That’s when I realized it was harder than I thought it would be because a lot of them don’t know English. It’s either French, Norwegian or Swedish in general.

I decided to try and help them out because I could feel that someone wanted me to help them and so I opened up some info and asked which side of the family they were on and which name I should click. Basically I kept doing that until I came to the guy.

I’d never heard of him which is weird because I’ve studied my family tree like crazy. I looked to see what it was that he needed help on and I saw that both he and his wife had the wrong wedding date written down. So after quite a while I was able to fix it.

I also was able to talk with my grandpa on my dads side last night and he gave me some great advice and we had some laughs. I sure do miss these people I’ve never met!
