Just a little something from my fanfic I’m writing… :)

Izuku awoke with sporadic breathing and a numb face. He was in the infirmary… it was rare to be in such a place when Overhaul had always been there whenever he’d been hurt. He wasn’t in pain however, but that wasn’t necessarily a good thing. Izuku touched the right side of his face, feeling his warm face… but it was completely numb.

He started breathing deeply, trying to calm himself down. Breathing in, one two, out one two, in one two three, out one two three. He tried counting his breaths up to ten, and slowly felt the panic ooze away into the back of his mind. Now that he was calm, he could think about the situation objectively.

Izuku looked around the room, spotting Setsuno sitting across from him. He was just staring. His eyes wore a look of guilt, as if he’d done something wrong. Izuku couldn’t make sense of that since Setsuno had played right into his hands. If anyone realized that, Izuku would be in trouble, not him. Yet, the look on his face said otherwise… Maybe Setsuno took the blame?

Izuku tried to speak, but it was more difficult than usual. His words sounded like they were punched together with staples, “What’s wrong?”

Setsuno opened his mouth, then shut it and swallowed the saliva in his throat. He began to speak with a worried tone in his voice, “I went too far this time.”

It was a quick drawing, so I didn’t color drop/match or anything just guesstimated

Here’s another excerpt from my fanfiction that I’m writing titled First Day Alive on AO3.

Izuku met his face in the mirror. His long, green curls laid slightly past his shoulders. They bounced when he moved like springs. He had a practiced gaze that always seemed curious, unable to switch from it. He tried for a moment to smile like he could when he was a little boy, the muscles on his face twitched unnaturally before returning to their still position. As his experiments progressed, the joys of life became distant and in its place left an almost expressionless boy. Though, on the inside he truly did have feelings.

This is an excerpt from my series First Day Alive! It’s about Izuku being raised in the Yakuza for his quirk that makes everyone forget him. This is a pretty tame part of the story, but if you enjoy violence/angst, you can read about it using the link.

“You look like my Aunty.” Kacchan admitted to him at recess, “Why?”

Izuku tilted his head, green locks falling towards the ground, “I don’t know. What’s an Aunty?”

“You can call her Mrs.Midoriya.” He stated, angry at Izuku asking what an Aunty was.

“Okay. Who’s Mrs.Midoriya?” He asked again, curious about the last name.

His last name was also Midoriya, so that was kinda interesting. Of course, he wasn’t supposed to know this. Uncle Rappa had accidentally let the information slip one day when Izuku asked if Overhaul was really his father. He doesn’t know his mother, but all he knew was that she was probably dead.

sorry for the long wait but I wanted to do something with more time put into it mostly to show my appreciation for all your support over the course of this series, I will never be able to show my complete gratitude within my lifetime so I hope more of my silly drawings in the future will suffice 🥲. Big thank you to those of you who have been patient and with me since the start, it means more to me than you’ll ever know. I’ll be going on a short break from DZ to work on other things, rest assured I’ll still be posting! Again, thank you to all of you, I grovel at your feet for your continued support.
