When you've been without food and water for an extended period of time, you're supposed to eat slowly as to not make yourself sick. But there was no way she was going to eat slow when whatever food that was smelled so good. She was going to be sick later but she didn't care, she needed food in her NOW. She quickly scarfs down on the Takoyaki. "Mnph this is so good..... Thank you you're a life saver." She thanked as she puts another scorching hot ball in her mouth just as a strange fuzzy creature appears out of the back of her hand.
"Food!! Finally something the eat, I'm starving! What the heck did you do Rover?!" The precocious Abby complains as he steals a ball and quickly starts chomping down.
“Hey..take your time..it’s not goin’ anywhere.” She must have been starving, look at her pig out on his little appetizers, in any rate she’s going to get herself sick before the main course is even finished. And..weren’t those takoyaki even scorching hot for her?? What? Does she have a damn AC-unit in her mouth or something?? Well..either way he doesn’t question it and continues cooking. Fried rice would be the best thing for her now since it’s a meal he could make faster than others.
And then out of nowhere out comes her echo. Not something out of the ordinary but this one could talk..coherently too. Talk about..odd. “A talkin’ echo…you must be that hero from Huanglong (neighboring country). Tons of people told stories about ya, though I’d never think a big shot would be visitin’ my truck.” He said as he placed the bowls of fried rice with chopped chicken down on the truck’s counter. “I have an echo too..but he’s not much of a talker.”
"Heh do ya hear that Rover? People already know of how great we are!" Abby pointed out with pride but Rover couldn't help but feel a little bashful. She wasn't sure if hero was the right word. All she did was follow the trail of her past and well... When people were in trouble she just couldn't bring herself to turn away. Though she did realize he said 'from Huanglong' were they not in that country anymore? The scenery.... Some of the architecture had a similar vibe but it was still very different. Looks like she'll have to do some recon after she finishes eating.
"You do?" Even if he couldn't speak on the same level as Abby it could be worth a shot to see. Any clue could be of help. "Would you mind letting me see your echo?" She asked before she takes a careful bite of the main dish now that her immediate hunger had subsided. Abby however, continued to eat with child like glee.
