Wincest is so wild because I think a big part of it is that Jensen and Jared had a super flirty friendship in real life and they couldn’t separate it from acting so it bled through and made the brothers come across the same but also like….

Some of it was just written into the script. Like they knew what they were doing with everyone confusing them for gay lovers and that scene where Sam is sitting outside of the motel room in season three, the fucking scarecrow episode where they broke up etc lol

Do you ever lay down, close your eyes and start thinking about how Jensen Ackles is the biggest wincestie in the world? How he reads fanfics about samdean f*cking each other and send them to his castmates? How he keeps comparing sam and dean to couples and wishes they had died together? How he suggests dean is attracted to his brother and how he knows they were it for each other? How obsessed he is with sam and dean and their toxic codependent relationship and doesn't waste an opportunity to call the show "the love story of two brothers" and ignores every other character in it? How he hates the plots that are not about the brothers being together and loving each other all the time? How he says dean wouldn't have wanted to live without sam in the end and would do everything to be with him, even if that includes k*lling himself? How he fought to have dean die standing, hugging and touching sam's forehead and added bits that were not on the script just so dean's confession could mean everything he had wanted to say for so long?

i feel like at first after they crossed the line from Brothers who are Weird to Brothers who are Actually Having Sex dean would maybe put his dumb flirty jokes with sam on hold for a while. like it would just be a bit too real.

but then once he kind of got used to things and realised this was okay and not about to all blow up in his face of course he’d be right back at it and as they got older and more and more settled they would just get sillier but also sweeter and also less and less like jokes. and sam would still be responding with the fondest exasperation in the world.
