It's the last week of August, and so the last week of our Summer theme.

You guys have done amazingly with threads, so for the last week, how about everyone sends in a confession saying what their favorite thread was over the summer? Or maybe their own personal favorite drabble/HC they wrote, or someone else's drabble/HC that they thought was great. It's time to self-praise and praise others too. 

You can do this in character as well, if you want. It could be something your character did for the first time that they loved, or something they did with friends that they'll never forget.

And if you want to use you own image, go ahead and create your own confession and submit it. That makes it easier for me anyway.

Around the world in 80 days!

Get some characters together and sail across the sea. If your characters don't have sailing knowledge, make some up! It could be AU if you need it to be. Stop on a tropical island and explore. What animals and plant life do they find? Or maybe they accidentally meet some tribal natives, and get into a little trouble.

Or the trouble could be at sea. What if they get into a shipwreck? Will your characters stay together or get separated? How do they survive?

If you're inspired, do a drabble of your character either alone of with someone else having one or more of these experiences, or an open starter with the start of a boat journey, or even an HC saying what your character would do if they were alone on a tropical island or shipwrecked.

Build a tire swing! Or any other kind of swing, for that matter. Maybe alone, maybe with your parents, maybe with some friends. Whatever floats your boat. Have some fun with it after you've made it. This could be as kids or as your current age. As long as you have fun!

Is your character an animal-lover? What could be more amazing than swimming with dolphins, or any other friendly marine creature. 

It could be an organised thing. Maybe a friend surprises your character with a trip to a place that specializes in this. Or maybe it just happens when they're out swimming one day.

It could be a drabble, your character alone meeting some dolphins and having an amazing personal experience. They could then do a thread with a friend, bringing them along to meet their new fishy friends.

Use your imagination; even make it a fantasy/AU. There's one or two mermaid-related characters here. Who knows if it could be possible to bring your land friends underwater to experience Atlantica, either turning them into mermaids for the day, or finding a way for them to breathe underwater and having a couple of dolphins to tow them.

Instead of the beach, try a water park. Lazy rivers are great for relaxing or floating around with a friend. Or go for something a bit more exhilarating, like a huge slide your character has been afraid of trying for a while. Have them get over their fear and have fun! Choose crazy rides, like slides that go at an impossibly steep angle. Look up some real life water slides that sound like fun and have your character try them out!

Take a trip to Paris. Some of your characters already live there, so maybe they take their friends on a tour of the city. Or they could have lived there their whole lives and never been to the top of the Tour d'Eiffel(If it even exists in their era). Look up what the view would have been like in their time historically. What famous buildings they could see from top of the tower.

Maybe it's a modern AU, and your characters are taking a romantic trip to the famous city of love. Or is your character an art lover, on a trip to see the Mona Lisa and the rest of the Louvre?

Or perhaps your character lives in a time and is noble enough to go visit the royal family of Paris, living in Versailles. Look up who exactly the royals were in your character's time, and write a drabble or thread about going to see them and what they were like. Do a bit of research and see what the king and queen were actually like. Try and create scenarios that could even have happened in connection with historic events!

Water balloon fight!!

Is your character a prankster? What if they think of filling up some water balloons to ambush their friend(s) with? Or maybe it's a planned war. Each side gets together to prepare their balloons, and at the previously decided time, it begins. 

Is your character on the receiving end of a prank? How do they react? Laugh it off or get annoyed?

Or maybe they're part of a battle. Does their side win? Maybe they're a genius with tactics. 

Don't forget, this could be as kids or their current age! Be imaginative, it doesn't have to be just these two options. Your character could even get together with a friend to ambush others! Or roll them all into one. Prank, battle, then attack strangers. The more fun the better!

Ever built a treehouse? Maybe your character has had one in their backyard all through their childhood. Was it a place of refuge when they had childhood problems, like fights with friends or groundings from parents? Write a drabble/HC about what happened when they were a child that made them go out there.

Or you could write about building one, either with your character's parents or with some friends. Are they any good and building/carpentry? How does it work out, well or not so well?

Maybe your character wants to have a sleepover with a friend or a group of friends in their treehouse. Is the treehouse in their back garden or far off in the woods? This could be a continuing group of threads, from building to completion to staying in it overnight.

Does your character want to go to an amazing place this summer? Maybe they've always dreamed of seeing some natural wonder and now they have a chance to go. Do they go on their own? It could be a chance for them to come to terms with something difficult in their life, or just expand their world view.

Or do they go with a group of friends, or maybe just one other friend? Do they disagree on what route to take, or do they get along fine? Think about things that could happen on the way, good or bad.

There's nothing like eating outside in the summer time. Does your character have a decorative flair? Maybe they want to host a dinner party outside, and they have a great idea for how to decorate their outdoor table. String up some bunting or fairy lights, put out some flowers, and invite over their favorite people for a tea party.

Ever been surfing? Maybe your character is actually a pro. Or maybe they've never tried but really want to learn.

Do they have a friend who can teach them? Maybe your character is trying to impress the friend, and says they can do it even though they can't. What happens when the friend realizes they were lying?

Or they could be not lying. Do a fun thread with your character and their friend(s) out surfing for a day. Maybe your character turns out to be a natural.

Pool party! 

To finish off theme week, we hope everyone can join in with a pool party! It doesn't have to be where everyone is at the same party. It could be a small group of friends. It could be a huge party that your characters snuck into it. Whatever you can think of will work. Make sure it's as creative as you can make it! It doesn't have to be a traditional pool party. Maybe it's by a lake. What if you tie up a rope swing? Whatever you want to do, do it!

You have today and tomorrow to start any threads, and then Summer theme week will be over.

Comets are best viewed when the sky is clear and the nights are dry and warm. Does your character stargaze a lot? Maybe they like to go alone, get some peace and quiet from their busy life. 

Or maybe they've never been stargazing, and a friend is dragging them up a mountain to get the best view of a meteor shower. 

And nobody ever said stargazing wasn't romantic. Sounds like a perfect place to admit your feelings if you ask me.

This is the last of our theme week posts, apart from the pool party on Monday. This is basically a last effort to inspire some creative threads.

We've got fishing, boating, snorkeling, hiking, plenty of summer activities that you can have fun with. And you have until the 10th of June to start your thread! 

Remember, it can be a drabble, headcanon, thread, whatever you like! Maybe your character likes to fish solitary sometimes. Maybe they've never been and fish gross them out. Maybe they're friends with some super rich kids who own a boat. How about they go snorkeling for the first time with a friend, and discover an underwater world? Could they go hiking in a foreign landscape? Perhaps with a friend from that country? Try and push the boundaries. Think of something that will add to your character's personality, and have fun too!

Summer is the perfect time for camping! Dry and warm all night, you could practically sleep under the stars if you wanted to. 

Why not arrange for a couple of your characters to head off into the wilderness for a campout? Maybe they're super prepared, tent, food, all kinds of supplies. Or maybe they are kind of lackadaisical, just throwing together whatever they can find.

Or it could be a novelty campout, like in a treehouse or hammocks. Maybe they find the most amazing lake to camp by.

Don't forget to be careful, it could go wrong very quickly! There's bears and other dangerous creatures in the woods, not to mention sleep walking campers, camp fires catching fire to tents, and who knows what else!

Road trip! A lot of you will have to do this as a modern AU if you want to do it, but it could be worth it!

Maybe it's a drabble, like your character needs to get away from it all. They're taking a few weeks to be alone and just drive. They could meet a few people on the way, perhaps this is where other characters come in. They could make some personal discoveries. Maybe they realize that the reason they left was all a big misunderstanding, or they realize they were wrong. Maybe they come to terms with whatever they were getting away from. 

Or, your character is going away with their best friend in the world. How does it hold up, spending all day in a confined space with a person they're so close to? There's sure to be some tense moments, but some hilarious ones as well.

What if they're going away with someone they hate, just through convenience? All that time, who knows, maybe they'll work out some personal differences. 

Or your character could be heading off on a romantic road trip with their significant other. Yet another situation that could lead to both amazing and very much not-amazing moments. 

Don't forget to add some spectacular views! Remember it can be in any country, North or South America, India, China, Europe, the UK, Australia, whatever! Just make sure your characters get to stop and have some fun!

There's never a better time for riding roller coasters than in the Summer! Meet up with a friend and hit the amusement park. Or it could be a date, who knows? Ride the biggest coaster there. Is your character scared? Or maybe they're confident but unexpectedly lost it half way through.

Try some games, whack-a-mole, watergun, basketball, whatever you can think of. Is your character competitive about it? Maybe they get over the top competitive and make a scene.

Maybe there's a mini-lake, and your characters can try out a pedalo or a row boat. Make sure and get some cotton candy!
