First design of 2017! I decided to take a new direction with the latest pieces. I wanted them to be more artful and to have meaning behind them. This piece was inspired by the wonderful childhood memories I had spent in LA Chinatown and the lovely Lucky Cats in the windows of the shops. Expect this on a sweater soon! I actually have a huge obsession with qipao and think they're some of the most beautifully constructed dresses. I've always loved their ornate floral patterns, so I wanted to incorporate that element into this piece. I might head down to Chinatown again soon for old time's sake (and to get some delicious cakes from Wonderland Bakery).
