āThere is no escape from ecological collapse
So letās revolt and fix itā
i am sitting on the couch, i hear tapping on the door behind me, i turn around and see this
what do i do
he is hereā¦.
i still lose it every time i see this post because someone let a fucking goose into their house just because tumblr said to and if that doesnāt perfectly define all of our experiences on this shitty excuse for a website i dont know what does Ā
How else would you pet the goose if you did not let him in?
I used to let my turkey free range because she was polite and stuck nearby and liked to eat bugs, and one day I went out and I couldnāt find her in my own yard and so, worried that sheās bothering the neighbors, I walk over to their yard through the little woods between us
And there she is
Standing at their back door
Tapping on the glass
And the lady comes to the door, and mind you Iāve never actually met my neighbors yet, and she starts letting Joslin into her house!
So I yell, and burst out of the trees, startling everyone, and start apologizing for my bird bothering them, and the lady looks absolutely baffled
āYour bird?ā
Apparently this wasnāt the first time Joslin had done this
Apparently sheād just been over visiting my neighbor for weeks
And my neighbor just dead-ass thought she was hanging out with a wild turkey
She just let an entire wild turkey into her house without question
And my dumb bird apparently would just go in, inspect everything, and then walk out again
I cannot even imagine what this lady was thinking, she just accepted that sheās getting a house inspection from mother nature a few times a week.
Iām not surprised at all someone let a farm goose in. Humans have no sense of self preservation when it comes to things that we might get to pet.

When Chinaās canola fields bloom in March and April, over 3,000 acres of landscape is decorated by a blanket of yellow, with bare hills peeking out through the golden sea of blossoming rapeseed flowers.

How hard do you monoculture?
Careful though, some of these (mint family Iām looking at you) will take over a garden space. My garden at home is currently overrun with lemon balm⦠Doesnāt sound so bad but itās terrible
I wish I had found this out sooner. Thought I just didnāt have very green fingers :)
Thinking about it, this probably applies to other herbs and plants too.

Itās funny how we outgrow what we once thought we couldnāt live without, and then we fall in love with what we didnāt even know we wanted. Life keeps leading us on journeys we would never go on if it were up to us. Donāt be afraid. Have faith. Find the lessons. Trust the journey.
You should sit in the garden for 20 minutes everyday, unless you are busy. Then you should sit for one hour.
Vaguely based off of a purple striped jelly
if plants give us oxygen, then arenāt plants really the ones farming us, feeding us their food(oxygen) until we eventually die and are put into the ground, which they then consume.
