eating sugar is not a primary cause of diabetes. eating junk food is not a primary cause of diabetes. when you make jokes about "getting diabetes" over sugary, junk filled food, you are enforcing stereotypes that end with diabetics developing deadly eating disorders or experiencing medical abuse and neglect. Yes, it is that deep. Stop making diabetes jokes, you look like an uneducated bigot
"The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. The LORD has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death. Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the LORD."
— Psalms 118:15-19 (NKJV)

“The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, but the LORD weighs the motives. Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.”

“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:4–5).
Jesus Christ came to bring the light of God’s life into a dark and dying world.
Scripture echoes this truth over and over again- that God is the source of life and light: “For You are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.” Psalm 36:9
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:1
“God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5
In John 8:12, Jesus proclaims, “I am the light of the world. If you follow Me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Isaiah foretold, “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:2
When we see the Christmas lights around us, let's remember, Jesus the "Light of the world. " No power of darkness can defeat or snuff out this Light.
Luke 2:13-14: "Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favour rests.'"
The good news of the birth of Christ came first to ordinary shepherds. The shepherds were poor and uneducated, considered the lowest class of society, and yet God interrupted them with a choir of angels. He chose them to be the first to hear the good news of Jesus’ birth! A company of heavenly hosts appeared, singing, " Glory to God in the highest." The announcement was: He has come! The Messiah, the Saviour of the World, the long awaited One has come.
The shepherds did not delay, they hurried to the stable to worship the King of kings. They immediately shared what they had been told about the child, and their story amazed all who heard it.
"Lord Jesus, like the shepherds, I want to hurry to You, and not get distracted by the world's noises. Let me worship You in reverence and awe. Help me to share the good news of Your birth and Your love with those around me. Amen

Viola “Mother” Fletcher, the oldest known living survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, has passed away.
Mother Fletcher was a living monument to our history, our grief, and our fight. A century after the flames of Greenwood, she stood before Congress and demanded reparations, recognition, and repair.
She spent her life reminding America of the truth it tried to forget and urging us to build a future worthy of the lives lost and the legacy she protected.
Rest well, Mother Fletcher.
