Get ready for a storm of Chaos! It's my largest custom to date: Discord from My Little Pony!

His head and hands were sculpted by me, the neck and waist joints were 3D printed for me by the wonderful @beetleboo, and the torso, hips/legs/tail were from a Jakks Sisu figure, with some modification added.

There were a lot of bumps int he road getting this custom done, but I'm so, so happy with the results! He looks fantastic, and exactly like what I wanted. He's three feet long from tips of the horns, to the end of his tail, and super fun to pose.

I'm so happy right now. I don't even care there's already a little paint chipping, he still looks great. I love him.

Chocolate Delight! She's a discount pony which means she was only available at stores like Family Dollar. But her hair is soft and she's super cute. I love her brown eyes so much :3

My current set of Guardians of Harmony figures, sans Discord, who didn't really fit in frame.

Chrysalis was the only I bought when they were still in store, because I thought she looked neat, the rest I had to find secondhand.

Surprisingly despite being the SDCC exclusive, Fluttershy is not the rarest one here. This version of Applejack is actually the rarest, and I was incredibly lucky to get her NIB for only $15. I've seen her go as high as $100. The stars aligned and I was fated to get her I guess, but I'm really glad I was able to. She's so cute in her lil' bandana.

One weird thing I noticed as I was collecting them, is some of them has a weird powder on them? Fluttershy, Shining, and Tempest all had enough that it was leaving visible streaks of white on my pants when I wiped my hands on them. it washed off just fine, but also ???

Will I get anymore of them? I wouldn't mind having the Cutie Mark Crusaders set. Unfortunately they're more rare than AJ is, so who knows when I'll see them for sale. There's an Applebloom on Ebay rn, but it's more than I want to pay for just one out of three. So we'll see.

I was asked how I did this:

without ruining the factory paint.

Like always, my answer is L.A.'s Totally Awesome.

Here's how to do it.

This Twilight Sparkle has nail polish all over one side and I'm going to pretend it's on the paint for the purposes of this tutorial.

We don't want to get acetone on the factory paint, so instead, we soak that part in concentrated L.A.'s Totally Awesome straight out of the bottle.

You know it's working when there's discoloration or the nail polish starts peeling of.

Wear gloves. Totally Awesome will make your skin sad.

And then you just scrub with the toothbrush until the nail polish is gone.

Resoak, scrub more, repeat as needed.

It's not a fast process, but it works.

WARNINGS:

Like I said, wear gloves.

This stuff is kind of unpleasant smelling.

There is always a risk of damage to your pony, either to the vinyl, factory paint, or the hair. There is a risk of the nail polish staining.

There is risk.

But that is how I got all that nail polish off of the little Rarity figure without affecting her factory paint.

L.A.'s Totally Awesome can dissolve nail polish, acrylic paint, Mattel's head glue, G1 flocking glue.... It's pretty handy.
