SHHH NO I CAN FIX THIS
Imagine little John running up to little Sherlock on the day after Valentine's day with red cheeks and excited, but tired eyes, clutching a valentine tightly to his chest which he proudly extends to Sherlock. "I'm sorry, I meant to give this to you yesterday, but it wasn't finished-" he'd breathe. And Sherlock, puffy eyes wide, would hesitantly accept the card, which John obviously put a lot of work into.
Imagine the way Sherlock's eyes would light up as he gingerly took the card. Tracing his fingers over the carefully written, 'TO: SHERLOCK, MY VERY BEST FRIEND'
Imagine the way John would bounce on his toes while, in a state of awe, Sherlock would open the lavender, heart shaped card and stare at the drawings inside. Sherlock in a lab coat, playing with bees, running around on an adventure, and in each drawing, John right by his side. Holding his hand, carrying test tubes, or bottles of honey, they were together in every drawing. In the very centre of the card would read, 'WOULD YOU BE MY VALENTINE?' in big red letters, planned out so there weren't too many words smushed together at the end.
Imagine the way Sherlock's eyes would dart up to look at John, then back down at the card, before placing the card on the table, and standing up to hug John tightly, the softest "Yes!" Heard from John's shoulder, as for the second day in a row, he tried his best not to cry
