i hope u like me for more than just my beauty and perfect sense of humor and my hot body and immense spiritual power and my kindness and that thing i do with my tongue. i hope u also like me for not knowing what's going on and being confused and scared all of the time
would you rather be in the opening scene of an episode of:
doctor who
house md
supernatural
please reblog etc etc
settling this once and for all. you can only be one of these
be a vampire irl
be a werewolf irl
reblog so this escapes containment and gets a fair spread
how it feels to be in a transitional period
I hope Daniel has just an INSANE slut era now. One second you're 70 years old with Parkinson's and the next suddenly you aren't sick anymore AND not only are you strong again but you've got fucking superhuman strength, AND you've got weird sexy new eyes, AND you've just become a millionaire?? I for one would be absolutely insatiable. Watch out gay people of the world peepaw's about to hit the streets
My great grandma, Violet Leib. It runs in the family.
can’t stand those fake old man lovers on tiktok, they’ll be like “old men I’m attracted to but it gets worse” and then it’s a slideshow of them in their 30s with the ages they are now, cowards.
you don’t like old men, you like middle aged men.
THIRTIES ISN'T MIDDLE AGED FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're young. They're just adults who are still very much young. "Middle aged" starts at the earliest at 40.
Honestly this, I'd argue it's even later but the rising trend of calling 25 year olds old.. and people who look normal and have no work done getting told they look 40-50s when they're in their late 20s early 30s is insane. People forget what real people look like.
wordle and bts may seem like they have nothing in common but both have been cited by redditors as the reason why their elderly relative quit watching fox news and started acting normal again
love wins i think
you can hate wordle or bts as much as you like, but in the time honored words of a long gone tumblr user: "shit dude whatever works I guess"
It's almost like our elderly suffer from extreme loneliness and mental degradation and introducing them to a community based around something positive (music, a fun little game) rather than an endless pit of paranoia and giving them something to stimulate their brain and regrow neurons(you can repair your brain at any age as long as you give it stimulation, like music, or puzzles) will help them recover from what can only be described as a soul sucking addiction
If my deadbeat dad miraculously recovered from his parkinson's and started wearing sunglasses and leather jackets and stiletto nails and then went on the news to talk about how he met a real vampire I would lose my absolute mind
my favorite dynamic is when they get divorced as foreplay
see I tricked you all. I knew you guys would tag your sick twisted blorbos and now I have a list of media with this dynamic l
are you normal or do you also stare at the ceiling at the fact that the only thing Will ever asked Hannibal not to do is to lie to him. do you understand? he never asked Hannibal to stop killing, he never even tried to stop his eccentric diet, he part took in it. easily maybe even too easily. he ate it up and licked the spoon, but don't lie to me. that’s insane you’re a freak <3
listen i’m not saying the vampire won’t still get the job but the interview is NOT going well
living on an island is so funny. today there was a turkey stuck in the road. it was very stressed and causing a traffic jam so I pulled over and got out and herded it off the road. It seemed injured, so caught it and looked it over (experienced bird rehabilitator disclaimer). anyway, the rest of the day, everywhere I've done today someone is like, "Oh hey Story. Heard you caught a turkey earlier." Which means people in the cars going by knew me, saw me chasing a wild turkey, and it seemed correct enough that they didn't stop to investigate.
back home, I once spent a heroic and chaotic hour chasing down an escaped chicken in the middle of town, which culminated in my scaling the side of a CVS pharmacy to access its roof (successfully).
that story went up on my old blog, so it's floating around this site somewhere. that's not important.
what IS important is that the final ten minutes of the ordeal was witnessed by a local UPS deliveryman, who then walked into the hardware store where I worked and shouted, "there he is! the chicken wrangler!" then he told everyone within earshot what he'd seen and what I'd done. That was in 2017. Recently he delivered a package to my mom's house, and when my sister answered the door, he said, "doesn't the Chicken Wrangler live here?" It turns out he's still telling my story, like he's my dedicated bard. Toss a coin to your chicken warden etc.,
Symbolism & Foreshadowing: Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion (1944) by Francis Bacon
Bacon had painted for years before he painted the very work displayed here in the show. After painting this work, he then insisted that none of his other previous works counted, and that this triptych should be considered his origin story. He tried to rewrite his own history. Art critics mostly let him get away with it too.
Very interesting that they have this work, the first “true” work in the artist’s own revisionist history of his own life. This artist is famous for paintings in series but the choice of a triptych (3) than any other number is suggestive. It’s a triptych of living figures, too.
The figures are inspired in part by the Furies, who would (either as a function of revenge or justice) brutally kill transgressive murderers for crimes such as matricide and patricide.
Other fun facts about Bacon:
- gay, and went from being the younger, dominated partner to being the older and more dominant partner
- Irish
- history of substance abuse
- obsessed with painting mouths
- people would call his work horror, but he couldn’t understand why
- once got such a bad crush (his word) on a painting that he couldn’t bring himself to visit it in person
- canonically attracted to his own father
