Oh Yuki, you are just the best, he is so protective of Tohru and so perceptive. Every time I see him like this it swells my heart with joy. He is slyly manipulating the situation to bring Tohru and Kyo together to get them both to understand their feelings and own up to it. I also just love how he treats Kyo like the annoying boyfriend who he dislikes just to keep Tohru from getting hurt. It truly shows their dynamic and how much Yuki cares about her.

Taang was my first ship, ever. I watched the show back when it was first released, and their dynamic (+ the foreshadowing in the swamp over seeing visions of people you love 💚💛) was amazing.
I always saw Katara as a mother figure for Aang, and you can see with their relationship that she is always leading him and shielding him from horrors/hardships like a mother/caretaker would. It really felt like it came out of left-field when they started introducing a romance dynamic between them, because it didn’t seem like something Katara would realistically reciprocate. With Taang, they feel as equals who could really help each other grow and mature as individuals.
Also, having them end up with people of opposite elements would perfectly represent the ‘balance’ ⚖️ theme that they pushed in the show.

i think one of my favorite things about shigure is that he's immature on purpose. he's a fully capable human. after his call with tohru's aunt he's like, everything is handled, i've got it under control, here are the logistics. he absolutely can behave like an adult, he just. chooses not to for kicks.
