@where-the-giants-are
how i feel explaining G/t to my friends and family
There’s a giant holding you captive. They’re huge, completely towering over you, even on their knees. They’re huge overpower you in size, weight, and strength, and are capable of doing whatever they want to you.
But you aren’t in a cage, or a jar, or in any kind of container, nor are you being kept in the giants large hands and inescapable grip.
Your in front of them, standing on the ground by your self looking up at there massive frame, while they gaze back at you, sitting on their knees.
You can walk around or try and run away, but before you’d even get halfway too far, the giant just grabs you before you can even process it, and puts you back where you started.
All the time, they’re just staring down at you. Is it just to keep an eye out so you don’t get away? But the more you look up at this giants face, it becomes clear that,
They’re smiling.
You don’t know why. Are they planning to do something horrible to you? Do they find some amusement in seeing you run around them to get away? Do they just find you cute due to your size? You don’t know. All you can do is try to talk to your giant captor, and hope their intentions are good, or that they won’t hurt you. After all, it’s not like you could escape,
hyper specific prompt of a fairy getting distracted and flying straight into a human’s chest, the impact knocking the wind out of them, and them falling with a huff into the human’s awaiting palm below. The hand immediately rising to bring the fairy up to their eyes, gravity forcing their stomach to drop to the ground as they’re lifted.
A comic that I really enjoyed had something like this. It's not exactly as described, but I’d say it's pretty close. Shabam:

Anyone got any Parent G/t fluff ideas they wanna share?
My mind is currently turning over a few older ones and I need to sort them someday.
How about this:
Young teen runs away from abusive home and gets lost in the forest.
But instead of being found by our giant protagonist the child gets found by some kind of deity.
Some super-natural being without physical body, a ghost-like being purely made out of energy/magic.
It's not a person nor a creature, it's more like a over-all presence. Maybe it's the protector of said forest (or something like mother nature). That's why it noticed the human in the first place.
When the deity finds the little human all on its own and unconscious, it's kind of clueless what to do with it. While it has a kind and gentle soul, it doesn't know much about human kind and obviously can't take care of it (no physical body remember), but this little guy clearly needs help and has no one to look after it.
Bringing it to the nearest human town might be an option but the deity has someone better in mind.
Time for our giant protagonist (that also resides in said forest) to enter the game!
The deity drops the human off on their door step, knowing their old friend has wanted a child of their own for quite some time now and is terribly lonely. The deity is sure they will be the perfect fit for each other.
When the wind rattles on their door and the giant goes to open it, they are surprised to find a young unconscious human, but they don't question why or how the human got there for long, seeing that the little fella needs help. They take the small child inside and begin to tend to them, waiting for them to wake up.
This can go a few different routes from here, maybe I'll add them later on.
Sighhhh time to write 🙏🏽
Oh my god that was perfection and just…. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!

I made a G/t size calculator!
Ever wonder how big a 100 ft tall giant’s pinky would be? Can a human sleep comfortably on the stomach of a 40 ft tall giant? Is a 200 ft tall giant just the right size for nose hugs?
Answer these questions and more with my G/t size calculator!
Simply input information about what your giant would be like as a human and how tall they are as a giant…
…and you can immediately browse facts about their proportions! There’s data on the body in general, plus specific measurements for facial features and hands.
It even works on mobile! It also works for tinies, though the language will be slightly wrong.
I spent a lot of time working on this, so please send me your feedback! I want to make it the best it can be.

TUMBLR'S RECENT UPDATE IS AWFUL AND WE SHOULD COMPLAIN LOUDER AGAINST IT.
Hey so, I thought maybe we should participate in a blackout day to protest against the new tumblr update.
Let's try March 19. So that people have time to see this and plan for it.
Do not log in or use tumblr for 24 hours on this day.
Reblog this and make a tag chain to maximise visbility—the more people aware of this awful update, the better.
Circle the date on your calendar, or set a reminder on your phone. As a bonus it will be a good break from social media. Spend the day doing things you like—start that book you've been waiting to read, go outside, watch a good movie... just do anything except open tumblr.
I think we should show tumblr that we are not happy with this update in every possible way we can.
File support tickets with feedback (SEE BELOW ON HOW TO SEND FEEDBACK), post about how this update makes you feel, reblog other's posts about this update, offer as detailed and honest feedback as possible to tumblr—WE DO NOT WANT THIS UPDATE!!
Remember that WE are the end consumers.
WE build their platform, WE fill it with posts, WE are the reason they generate revenue, WE are the reason this platform has power, and for these reasons WE should feel satisfied with the service they provide. ESPECIALLY if you pay for tumblr premium, you are entitled to make a complaint about the platform you are PAYING.
I used to like tumblr and I'd like to cling to it, but this update is just horrible. It makes me not want to continue posting at all. It is utterly demotovating as-is with my being mature labelled, but this update is just intolerable. I do not know how I will feel motivated to post at all in the future if this update is not rolled back.
I know I don't have much reach, especially with a label on, but I hope this reaches at least a few people.
Please participate if you care. Please reblog and tag people you know. Send every bit of feedback to tumblr that you possibly can.
I really don't want to see my once favorite site ruined beyond repair. I really want to continue enjoying this site. I have a community of people here which I have built over years, a community which I deeply love and appreciate and cherish interacting with. My blog thrives on being able to see feedback in reblogs on my post. The whole point of posting is that people see it and engage with it. This update is at best nonsensical and at worst, going to shred off many creators from the platform and rip apart any last bits of fun we have using it.
Tagging everyone I can think of.

HOW TO SEND FEEDBACK THROUGH SUPPORT TICKETS
Go to tumblr support
Select the category "feedback"
Write in formal, polite tone—try not to sound rude, but constructive and earnest about how dissatisfied you feel about the update and its effects
EXAMPLE: I am writing regarding tumblr's recent update. I am not happy with this feature and do not see myself enjoying the platform with this being implemented. Please rollback this update.

Dear tumblr please listen to our feedback and rollback this update.

Couldn't have said it better myself
Tagging everyone I know to hop on this bandwagon because holy shit folks need to stop making updates to their websites and apps no one asked for that only make their consumers more miserable and less likely to want to engage with their platforms

In the giant AU, Pietro is closeted and eventually found out about Bobby having a crush on him and he didn't take it well. He handled it as well as he handles anything by running away from his problems and ended up avoiding him as long as he could until it blew up in his face. Bobby isn't someone to let drama go on and will face them head on. He feels even if Pietro doesn't like him back the same, he just wants his friend back...

Guys, in AO3 the "giant/tiny" tag is now official, we can use filters and add "giant/tiny"
Santa SD....
He's something between the santas from the Christmas Chronicles and Rise of the Guardians. A bit more youthful, but absolutely nuts for spreading joy and cheer, also can kick ass if need be (though not in front of the children)
A bit of a continuation from Shop's previous post, as well as us just settling into the spirit of the season. It's going to be a fiscally lean year but at least we're creatively thriving and sharing the love!
Hyvää Joulua! Good Yule!!
Been busy af, will return with full force once we're done with our yule celebrations C: But for now I bid ye all a warm holiday season, whether you celebrate anything or not!
Lydia wont let beej move
Beej cant move because he cant disturb the tiny
Tiny lydia is consuming my brain
I need two giants to fight over me.
Glad to see we're all normal
Doodle Dump ft. That Guy
does Bennett ever ride in Trevor’s hair it looks soo fluffy, if I was Bennett I couldn’t resist!
Bennett couldn't resist either))But while they're not in a strong relationship, asking for a ride in the hair seems a bit strange :P
I think I know why G/t resonates with so many of us autists. If you're tiny, the world looks big and scary. It's overwhelming. Every footstep feels like an earthquake. Every conversation sounds like a screaming audience at a concert. Every table or chair is the size of a hill. Everything is too big for you. Too much for you. You feel like you're too small to do anything. All you need is to be accepted and properly integrated into society. It also helps if you have a giant friend to gently hold you and press you against their chest like a weighted blanket. If you're giant, the world is too small for you to fit into. People find you weird and off-putting and scary, even when you don't mean it. You feel like you have to walk on eggshells in order to seem "acceptable" to society. You can't be true to yourself in this world that's too small for you. Society only accepts you if your size can be useful to them. Everything you do is scrutinized by society. They view you as a monster. But in reality, you're just different. Forced to live in a world that wasn't made for you. All you need is for society to accept who you are and give you a place to fit in. It helps if your tiny friends are there for your needs, letting you talk to them or gently fidget with them. I know I'd rather be tiny, but the giant part was very much based on my personal experiences as an autistic person.
