Floating at the edge of the water, a small paper boat drifts lazily, like a tiny messenger from the world of dreams. The wind stirs ever so slightly, sending ripples across the surface, nudging the delicate craft in an unhurried dance.

Nearby, a curious cat watches with playful interest. With delicate precision, it dips a paw into the water, as if testing the depths of this quiet world. The ripples spread outward, merging with the mirrored sky above, erasing the boundary between the tangible and the imagined.

The chirping of sparrows fills the air, mingling with the distant hum of life beyond the courtyard walls. The scent of geraniums wafts from the veranda, carried by the same wind that sends the paper boat on its uncertain voyage.

Here, in this secluded haven, time slows. The past and the present rest side by side, wrapped in the warmth of sunlit memories. And just like the paper boat, drifting on the rippling surface, dreams and hopes remain afloat in the gentle current of the moment.

They traveled across the Persian Empire and eventually found refuge in Konya, a city within the Seljuk Sultanate of Rūm. Here, in the heart of Anatolia, he would spend the majority of his life. It was in this land, so far from his birthplace, that he would earn the name **Rumi**, which signifies "from Rūm."

Despite living far from his homeland, Rumi never lost touch with his Persian roots. His soul was deeply intertwined with the Persian language and its literary traditions. He wrote his most profound works, including the "Masnavi" and the "Divan-e Shams-e Tabrizi," in Persian, crafting verses that would transcend time and geography. His poetry spoke of love, unity, and the quest for spiritual enlightenment, resonating with hearts across the globe.

Rumi's legacy as a Persian poet and mystic is undeniable. His works have been celebrated as masterpieces of Persian literature, reflecting the depth and beauty of his Iranian heritage.
