Having just seen this in theaters yesterday, I would be damnded if I didn't share how amazing of an experience it was. I kid you not, this was THE Transformers movie of my dreams. The animation was awe-inspiring, incredible. The cinematography, gorgeous. The world building, illustrious, amazing. Thr characters have heart, personality, aren't stuffy. There is so much beauty and love and respect that has gone into this movie. If they could expand this into a Cybertron only series that followed LL or MTMTE, i would weep for joy. For now, all I can do is recommend you all see this while it's still in cinemas so that we can get the rest of the trilogy made...it is worth the $30 wide screen experience for the art and animation alone. Please wrap yourself up in the immerse, cozy world of Cyberton that they've done justice, FINALLY!
Also, SUCH JUICY MegOp screen time!!!
Lads wake up, insane new meta just dropped.
The fact that it wasnât even intentional makes this 1000x better.

I think about this comic by @herzspalter at least once a day, and this post from @brotoman-exe inspired a sequel.
EDIT: much thanks to @seeker-stormwing for the link đ
This is so sweet.Â
The comic I had originally made was from the very first chapter, so I love to see this now that the comic is over, so wholesome and full of positivity ;w; Thank you so much for linking me to this, I am so happy you liked my little song comic!! This is very cute and made me smile instantly.
I hope the crew is up there singing like that right now <3

I love this Au! What inspired you to think of it???
Thanks! It was a lot of different things, honestly. Itâs definitely very specifically structured like a movie would be, so that was part of it. Because again, Iâm essentially setting this in knightverse, even though knightverse/beeverse is basically a hypothetical at this point as it consists of one movie that hadnât quite decided if it was a reboot or not yet. Another big part of it was the one scene in Prime where Knockout has June and Fowler in his trunk and - quite genuinely - asks them how long theyâve been dating because they bicker like an old married couple. While that was also a funny and memorable gag, it did get the gears in my head turning because - if KOBD were canon - Knockout wouldâve been speaking from experience there, as a married man himself.
And that ties into how Knockout has one of the more interesting fandom influences on his character that Iâve seen. Canonically, heâs vain, self-indulgent, and not often really taken seriously for his expertise. While a lot of this would usually lend itself to the easy conclusion of fandom portraying him like⌠well, like they do with Rodimus for lack of a better comparison, instead thereâs the collective headcanon (within the part of fandom that ships kobd) that Knockout is actually a family man. Heâs a dedicated husband and has a kid. Which I love.
So with that in mind I thought, huh, this would be a movie that would be fun to watch; weâve seen boy-meets-car ad-nauseum in TF media, and Travis Knight gave us a great girl-meets-horse car movie, but you know, thatâs still a young protagonist, and still presents any of the cybertronian characters as cars before theyâre presented as anything else.Â
This AU on the other hand has a single mom as a protagonist, who finds out that her close friend who she thought was human is actually a car who is actually an alien robot. Rather than bonding over a shared experience that unfolds throughout the movieâs plot, they bond over shared experiences from throughout their lives - theyâre both medical professionals who worked together at the same hospital in Reno, theyâre both romantically lonely (June with her bad divorce and abysmal dating life, Knockout with his husband being in a coma), theyâre both (as June later finds out) parents who both feel that theyâve done a shitty job by their kids (with June dealing with a custody fight at the time the plot takes place and Knockout having left his kid behind in the war when he fled). Theyâre very close friends whoâve spent a ton of time together. TF movies often struggle with âhumanizingâ the Transformers; by presenting Knockout as âhumanâ and then subverting that, heâs established to the audience as a character before a plot device. And while the human-meets-car set up focuses on finding commonalities among their differences, best-friend-and-coworker-turns-out-to-be-a-car instead explores their differences among all that they have in common.Â
But also like⌠having a single mom be the protag in an action movie is just. Good. I want to see it.
I am currently in an epileptic fit of how amazing all of this sounds and FUUUCCCK i can see it so clearly in a movie and it would be SO AMAZING BLESS YOU OP FOR CREATING THIS AU!!

I always wanted to hear Megatron sing, so I drew this, the music is from Batman(Kevin Conroyďźwho sang in the episode âThis Little Piggyâ (fifth episode) from the Justice League.
Oh-...OH mY GOD i LOVE THIS CONCEPT
*chuckle* Itâs mostly due to Driftâs interventions that Ratchet remains presentable. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of poor Rodimus and his quarantine mullet. (Or his alarming but mercifully short-lived quarantine mustache.)
