A/N: It's been a minute since I've presented you all with agere fic... so take this as my sacrifice.
One of Izuku's favorite past times is taking care of his husband, Bakugou. AKA the world's stubbornest man, and the hardest person in the world to take care of. Except, for when he's regressed. When Bakugou allows himself just the momentary break of being big, he can become the sweetest boy Izuku's ever known.
Izuku can see his childhood best friend again. The bright-eyed optimist who just wanted to be cool. But tonight, even that isn't even present in Bakugou. Tonight, Bakugou is small. Delicate. Beyond exhausted and burnt out. And he is curled up in Izuku's lap. His arm is wrapped in it's compression glove, his bonnet is on and he smells like baby powder and laundry detergent. Izuku has fed both of them dinner already, though Bakugou cooked it before Izuku got home from his faculty meeting at U.A.
Despite dinner though, nothing could satiate Bakugou's appetite the way a warm bottle can, when gently held up by Izuku. The TV is on. A quiet cartoon is playing slowly and softly. Bakugou's hands are gripping Izuku's wrist. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, Number One." He laughs a bit, pressing a kiss to Bakugou's temple. The blonde just suckles harder on his bottle before his eyes finally slip shut.
Finally, Bakugou's fingers loosen and his arms slowly relax. Izuku pops the bottle from his mouth with a soft whine, but thankfully Bakugou doesn't get any further upset at the removed comfort. So, Izuku scoops him up and carries him as he puts the bottle into the sink and then heads to the bedroom.
Bakugou will get the best sleep he's gotten all week tonight.

°🧦⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ | that knows the perfect pillow to blanket ratio so you have plenty of support and soft surfaces, but also plenty of materials to wrap yourself in and lay in.
°🧦⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ | that somehow always has the best body temp for cuddling. cuddling them is never too hot, it always feels like the perfect temperature.
°🧦⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ | that learns sewing, darning, mending, etc. so they can repair all of your comfort clothes, plushies, etc. in nearly invisible ways so you can enjoy them. if the repair does leave a mark, they make it as cute as possible. example: turning a patch on a shirt into a cute pattern or making it look like a flower.
°🧦⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ | that delivers your hot meals right before they've cooled. they're still hot, fresh. but they've cooled down just enough that you can blow on them and take happy bites without much risk of hurting your little mouth on the food.
°🧦⋆.ೃ࿔*:･ | that tests your bottle on their arm before craddling you in their lap and having bottle time.
brooo i agree that its kinda boring on tumblr in the agre/petre community lol. im not super into all the cutesy kiddy stuff tbh. like sure i like the occasional dinosaur pattern stuff but im real tired of the same pastel cute stuff over and over. i REALLY enjoy “unconventional” art of horror characters and stuff like that. or like mood/stimboards with characters from movies or shows for adults. or like Subtle agere fics where its mot strictly actual baby things. idk, i think this place could use some spicing up sometimes (i would contribute if i could but i hate the concept of someone finding my alt blog because of art lmfao)
NO LITERALLYYY. at least here on tumblr, what u expect is exactly what u get. and thats not to say i don't like babyre or regression aimed towards much younger regressors at all, because i do love it! but because its usually so samey, i've gotten rlly bored after all this time :/

i've mentioned this because but sometimes i get the urge to just make my account for people 18+ only because maybe that way the things i make would hit home to ppl like me i guess? not just those who only like pastel or stuff like that. idk.
i also feel very isolated by the fact i don't see more variety in this communityyy not gonna lie!! i wish the people that were into horror media mixed with agere, or just messier, depressing themes with agere stuff spoke louder, as well as accounts who just so happened to make agere while making other interesting stuff spoke louder so i could find them.
this isn't a critique, more of a plea atp. it upsets me that i see so many posts saying "you're still an age regressor if you do _______" and then. i still see the same age regressor content i usually expect. like wheres the varietyy. where are yall at!!! im tryna find u guys!!!!

god okay in an attempt to be less of an asshole, here’s how child speech DOES work (or tend to work, at least)
kids tend to hypercorrect — this means that they tend to say things like “sleeped” instead of “slept,” “writed” instead of “wrote,” “goed” instead of “went,” etc
kids tend not to make errors such as omitting verbs (“i hungry”)
kids also tend not to make errors in the i/me, she/her department (“me am hungry”)
simplification of difficult sounds — consonant clusters especially, so things like st, sp, ps, etc., as well as f, v, th-sounds, ch-sounds, etc.
“babbling”-type utterances (“apwen” for “airplane,” using one babbly word for multiple objects, things like that) generally occur in children under the age of three and a half
say it with me: an eight-year-old child is not going to be saying “me hungwy”
do not confuse child speech with stereotypical learner english mistakes, that’s not only incorrect but also gross on the stereotypical learner english front (“me love you long time,” anybody?)

Totally. It can be helpful to remind yourself that young children tend to speak as though the English language actually made sense. Our brains are pattern-recognising machines: children are really, really good at puzzling out the implicit rules of the English language, but they don’t necessarily know all the silly exceptions and bizarre edge cases that break those rules yet - those can only be learned through experience and rote memorisation.
Basically, when children who speak English as a first language make mistakes, it typically reflects a tendency to treat English as more grammatically, syntactically, and/or orthographically consistent than it really is. In some cases, this can be compounded by the fact that some kids will get offended at how little sense “proper” English makes, and insist upon using the more consistent forms even though they know very well that they’re technically “wrong”.
As someone who spends a good majority of her time working with kids, it irks me to no end when I see children written as if they’re babies.
Past the age of about five or six years old, children can have deep, intellectual conversations about the most bizarre of things. I HAD A CONVERSATION LAST WEEK WITH FOUR THIRD GRADERS ABOUT THE GAS PRICES AND TAXES IN HAWAII.
Were they entirely correct in the facts they were giving? No, because it was all from what they had heard from parents or on the news. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that I was having a genuine conversation with four eight and nine year olds about taxes.
Just about the only speech problems most kids have, unless they have a speech impediment, is not being able to pronounce certain consonants (replacing ‘th’ with ‘fw,’ for example, and some letters are harder to form with your mouth than others) and doing exactly what the person above said: using the English language the way they know how, which isn’t always the way English works.
Kids aren’t stupid. Stop writing them like they are.
