I don't know how many of y'all have even heard of this book series, but the Chronicles of Vladimir Tod by Z Brewer was a staple of my middle school, vampire-loving bookshelf. I still have all of the books to this day, and I re-read them recently, which inspired this fun little doodle. I had the thought that Eddie Poe is basically just the canon version of Wes Weston from the Danny Phantom fandom, and that was endlessly amusing to me.

I don't doubt that Eddie Poe would have pulled a stunt like this if he could have gotten away with it. Now all I need is a follow up doodle of Joss joining the club.

I think it's easy to look at Rhysand's action UTM and condem him as an abuser who's evil and manipulative. But I think the situation was more complex than anyone could even comprehend. He was walking a fine line with helping Feyre and keeping up appearances as a villain.

It's easy to say you'd never do anything he did, but being locked underground for nearly 50 years, forced to be raped daily, not seeing anyone you love, not to mention worrying about how much time they have left before Amarantha finds them, idk what I'd do. Idk how far I'd go to kill her, care about who is hurt, who is not care about if it meant her death.

Rhysand is a grey character. He does fucked up shit, but that's why I love him. I love a flawed character.

If I were writing about firefighters I'd also, in addition to just reading about them, take advantage of Our Blessed Internet to ask actual firefighters about how shit works. I'd do the same for a minority I'm not a part of.

I remember when there was this LiveJournal community where you could just ask about anything you needed for your novel - medicine, professions, vehicles, how things function in country X - and people who knew something about that would answer.
