frankenstein (2025) is a movie about the cycle of violence and the inevitability of violence and about the miracle of being kind. it is a beautiful and touching adaptation that takes a unique view of some of the story’s focal points while staying true to the novel’s themes. it is also a movie that aims to remind us that the original creature textually had long flowing locks, for which I think we should all be thanking del toro specifically

I do like that it pays homage to the fact that Victor made The Creature to be as hot as scientifically possible. His main goal in crafting this guy’s features were to make him as pleasing to the eyes as possible. It just so happened he did not know about the Uncanny Valley.

Miss Piggy’s Treasury of Art Masterpieces from the Kermitage Collection is a picture book featuring sixteen (minus the “The Birth of Venus” parody) different muppet parodies of famous artwork, edited by Henry Beard and illustrated by John E. Barrett, and published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston in 1984.

A majority of the illustrations were originally from the Miss Piggy’s Art Masterpiece Calendar which were all reprinted with commentary from Miss Piggy herself and new additions that expanded on the “Kermitage Collection” from the calendar.
