This may be something helpful in general but especially in terms of safety after the unfortunate advent of the election. Google and Apple will not keep your messages safe. If you need to talk to anyone about topics that may get you put in danger, use an app (like Signal or Session) that will encrypt your messages. Do NOT use any period tracking apps, don't even mark the dates in your phone's calendar. Use a VPN. Free VPNs aren't great (usually free means you are the product). Do what you need to. Just please stay safe and stay alive.
