Everyone say thank you sanitation workers we owe you our lives sanitation workers
when my cats are scared by the sanitation trucks, i tell them that i understand, but the sanitation workers are the most important people and we must be patient.

"the average person uses ChatGPT" is a factual error. the average person doesn't use ChatGPT. DDLC! Georg, who generated thousands of Doki Doki Literature Club! fanfics, is an outlier and should not be counted.
transferring to the purple line for my work commute is such a trip. i walk into a compartment full of people in suits and ties like, "hello business buddies! it's me, a laborer!"
One of the compelling things about Project Hail Mary is that you can't fix it.
"What if Stratt didn't force Grace to go?" Then the Earth dies.
"What if Yao and Ilyukhina had survived?" Then they all would have died in space, not enough food to get to Earth or Erid
If the Taomoeba hadn't escaped then Grace would have never seen his best friend again. Returning to a world he loves but no longer recognizes.
If the stars weren't dying then Grace never would have met his best friend at all. Living content but alone.
Project Hail Mary is a hopeful story. It is a story of friendship and what it means to be brave. It's a story about saving the world.
But you can't remove the tragedy of the story without making it unrecognizable. It's written into the bones.
me, yelling to a group of 100 small children playing violins: play Greensleeves!
coworker asked me what I was getting up to on my ridiculously long (3hr) dinner break. what I intended to convey was that I was going to find a spot for a nap. what I fucking said was, "oh I'll probably hunker down for a honk shoo mimimimi."
i block ppl all the time so my blocklist ranges from "actual fucking asshole fascist" n "post that mildly annoyed me because im petty" and if i went thru my blocklist rn i probably would have no idea why i blocked each of them but whatever
"i think", i say, about my own ocs, who i made,
“my headcanon is…” i say about the canon that i made about my own characters
i have not had a single original thought (affectionate) and i never even posted it lol
shout-out to whoever it was in the wardrobe department that decided paul refereeno needed to be in shorts for rulette 2
watched rulette for the first time last night (i know it was last season but im an inconsistent media watcher) and when jeremy got the character actor prompt i was like "oh like beloved character actress margo martindale!"
the way i absolutely fell in love with jeremy culhane in the game changer season 8 premiere
wow i completely forgot about the cheeky smile sora gives before he stabs himself with the keyblade in hollow bastion. actually devastated rn

Sometimes people tell me about their internet experiences and I'm like oh we have vastly different algorithms
This has never been truer than in 2026
my first gig out of college was nannying for twin 3yo girls. and those girls would be 16 by now and i've been long removed from their lives, but anytime i talk about them, they're still "my girls" -- 3yo, endlessly frozen in time at the moment that circumstance separated us. anyway thinking about middle school teacher ryland grace and "his kids" and the peculiar, painful curse of being a not-parent adult influence.
some of my favorite parts of phm, in no particular order:
- the way the lab explosion is first seen as a flash of light on grace's glasses
- the correct ratio of instrumental music to needle drops to miyazaki-like silences
- "i didn't mean any of that. that's just something you say."
- how much grace cries; oh bless you ryan gosling
- when rocky sent blip b and grace and i said "it could be a bomb" at the same time. that's right scientist, use your scientist brain; we ain't out here to get Alien-ed
i'm actually team aroace grace all the way, but something i love about the bloodymary ship is that it's a perfect cosmic horror / cosmic hope pairing. absolutely delicious soup; hand me my spoon
