DRUGGED WHUMP

Drugged whump is my fucking jam like

-Drugs that make the whumpee talkative and honest

-Promised pain meds that are actually aphrodisiacs

-Drugs that make the whumpee sleepy and vulnerable, becoming drowsy and affectionate even if they usually were terrified or disgusted by their whumper

-Drugs that make the whumpee angry, aggressive, and energetic - easily manipulated in this state to even attack others at the behest of their whumper

-Finally getting pain meds after living in constant pain for ages and being brought to tears by the relief

-Super strong pain meds that make the whumpee slow and stoned, unable to defend themselves verbally or physically

-An allergic reaction to some pain meds or antibiotics - will the whumper risk bringing them to the hospital? Do they have a doctor who will help on the hush? Do they leave their whumpee to suffer through on their own?

- MEDS A WHUMPEE NEEDS TO FUNCTION, do they have to struggle to live without them? Does the whumper give them meds but on the condition of good behavior? Does the whumpee refuse the meds? Does the whumper give them their meds but secretly replace them with something else?

-Drugs that make a whumpee hallucinate - what do they see? Are they scared? Are they emboldened?

-Sleeping meds, keeping the whumpee too drowsy and weak to try to escape

- Stimulants, forcing a whumpee to stay up for days, sleep deprivation, forced labor

- Drugs slipped into food and drink, not knowing what’s happening when they start to feel funny

-Whumpee being forced to eat or drink something they KNOW is drugged but having no choice

-Injecting a whumpee with a syringe, the sharp pain of the injection and then the terrifying realization that they’ve been drugged, begging the whumper to tell them what they just gave them

-The whumpee trying to drug their whumper, maybe hoping to make an escape attempt, but being caught and forced to consume whatever it was themselves

- Starving a whumpee and then finally offering them some food, they know it is drugged but struggle to resist the temptation of the food, they are just so hungry

- Drugging a whumpee and letting them go, them being so overwhelmed with relief that they can finally escape, only to collapse just a few feet away from freedom

-Making a whumpee dependent on drugs, so they become even more dependent on their whumper, their Whumper threatening to take away the drugs as punishment knowing the horrible withdrawals they would go through from being cut off

- Drugs that paralyze the whumpee while leaving them conscious, the whumper getting to manipulate their body like a doll while they are horrified but unable to struggle

-Drugs that paralyze the whumpee’s legs, so they have to drag themselves anywhere they go

Got my COVID booster over the weekend and it hit pretty hard, and whilst wallowing in my sleep-deprived misery yesterday, I thought of a question for y'all because I'm curious.

Whump community: Does being sick affect your desire to consume/create whump content?

Air...they needed air. Clawing at their throat in desperation, whumpee croaked out a broken whimper as whumper maintained - no, tightened - their grip on their throat. Whumper was strangling them.

They weren't going to be getting air.

Does anyone else regularly consume fan content for fandoms they're not even in, simply bc it scratches a specific whump itch? A good third of my favorite AO3 tags are for shows I've seen little to none of but that provide me a steady supply of whumperflies x)

Okay... here's something of my current whump-story:

"Run, Sal - run! Get the doctor! Hurry up!" "Keep breathing, boy, keep breathing!" The voices of Luuk and Sebba came from far away. Maurice obeyed, wondering why they sounded so anxious. He was fine after all! Everything was so pleasant and lightweighted - he even floated a little, while at the same time his body continued to hang - palpably heavy as lead - in Sebba's arm. There was no reason to worry at all: everything was fine and nothing ached… "Come on, boy, breathe, keep breathing, do you hear?!" Something cool was placed on his forehead, around his shoulders and over his torso, bringing him back to reality for a few moments. He blinked briefly and vaguely recognised Sebba looking at him with concern. "Boy! Feeling better?" Maurice tried a nod and a smile, both far too straining: his eyes closed and his head sank to the side, into the crook of Sebba's arm. He fell deeply - so deeply… A dark, gentle, peaceful cosiness caught him: a place where all was well and where there was no more fear and no more pain…

This is really good! I really like the dialogue, it reminds me a lot of early 20th century vernacular

Hi, Minnie! I'm quite new in knowing about Whump and Whumpees and Caretakers and so on - but anyway I suppose, I've written things like this just for almost all my life. But I'm not just sure. Could you tell me more about it? And could I send some of my written things for a test-reading? Most people around me (if they found some of it) said, it's pretty disturbing - and I don't know, what to think about my own writing. Just would like to have the voice from an expert... Hi Nancy!

I will put a disclaimer that I am in no way an expert in this, I'm just a teenager who enjoys torturing her characters. A lot.

I will be honest, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but whump is essentially writing scenes in which characters hurt (either physically, emotionally, mentally or some combination of the three) and - at least in the kind of whump I read - there tends to be a comfort scene. I'd recommend checking out some great whump blogs like;

@blackrosesandwhump, @whumpster-dumpster, @whumpitywhumpwhump and a lo more that I cannot think of right now-

You're more than welcome to send any whump you've written, I'd love to have a read! I will say, if you want to get feedback for your work, you could always take a shot at posting your work on your blog. Whump can be disturbing (especially if it's not the kind of whump you particularly like) but there are plenty of different kinds of whump. Writing 'disturbing' content does not mean you condone the actions of the characters in any way.

'Whose blood is that?'

'Do you know how pale you look right now?'

'You're burning up'

'You can barely keep your eyes open.. When was the last time you slept?'

'Take off your shirt. Don't give me that look'

'What was that? You winced.'

'You've got to do better than that if you want to fool me'

'You can trust me' (Whumpee denies it) *Caretaker gives them a pat and leaves. The first aid kit sits in their place

I don't know if I'd exactly classify this as whump, but it doesn't fit with the content on my main blog. i was rewatching Sweet Home before I wrote this, if that gives any context lol

tw: character death, minor whump, child death, crushing, multiple whumpees (everyone but speaker), severed head/limbs, lmk if I should add more

Even as I write this, my hands trembling with every press of the keyboard, I can still hear their voices. I can still hear their screaming cries for help. There was nothing I could do to help, and their faces will forever be ingrained in the depths of my mind.

I hadn’t noticed it at first. No one did. A crack here, and a crack there, just like glass. We all brushed it off as another one of those repairs the apartment building’s landlord pushed onto the backburner for us to deal with. It happened every month at first, then every fortnight, to every week, and soon, there wasn’t a single night where the walls cracked and wheezed through aged plaster. I had gotten used to opening my front door to dust clouds and fraying lines in the walls in front of me.

When the first floor of apartments fell, it was chaos. Bodies crushed from the impact, pleading hands frozen as they separated from the bodies they came from. I had only felt a tremor, being on the second floor, but we had all ran as fast as our legs could take us to the lobby. Children cried as the crushing got louder, and louder, and louder until  anything that wasn’t drilled to the floor began to crumble and break apart.

The first person I saw die was a little boy. Couldn’t have been more than nine years old, and he had the world in his eyes. We ate pre-packaged sandwiches together the night before, and he was just so innocent. It was the collapsing of my floor that got him. I told the others he must have run from my line of sight, but now there’s no one to lie to anymore. Not anymore. He had tripped up as we made our way back from our little scavenge, and before we knew it the third floor was falling, and it was either him or me. A slab of the ceiling was what got him; decapitated the poor boy’s head cleanly.

When the floor above the lobby started to go and everyone panicked, it was then that I must have been at my most selfish. I went back for no one. Rescued no one. I picked up my bag, grabbed the bottle of water by my side and made a dash for the doors. I shut the door behind me, barred it and shut my eyes in equal earnest as they pleaded for me to call help – to call anyone.

I walked away.

I’m sorry I wasn’t the brave person you thought I was, little Billie. But I am alive. I hope that counts for something.

I’ve always liked the idea of Russian roulette as a torture method. A gun held to Whumpee’s head. There’s only one bullet in it but Whumpee doesn’t know where it is and every time they refuse to answer a question the trigger is pulled until they are down to the last chamber and Whumpee is a crying mess, refusing to answer the question but knowing they are going to die and it’s terrifying them.

Bonus points if the gun was never loaded in the first place

Whump Prompt #18

The world spins as Hero struggles to stand on their feet, thick and heavy exhaustion setting in as the seconds go by. Were they always this tired? Falling to their knees, they get one good look at the sight of their team watching in horror as the world goes black.
