How can I not like The Last Jedi ! It’s the movie that made me go from casual Reylo and Star Wars fan to the mess I’m right now haha

I told you so!

When there were people so upset with “The Last Jedi”, because it had little action and Luke died (even though his death was necessary and it was beautifully made), I said that they will be looking back to this movie with fond nostalgia one day.

And I was right 😂

“The Last Jedi” looks like an Oscar Award-winning movie now, doesn’t it? And Palpatine, one of the greatest villains of all time wasn’t even in it. 😂😂😂

Rian Johnson rocks! I’d love to see the looks on Iger’s, JJ’s and Katheleen’s faces when they see all those bad reviews right now, and the flop in the box office this weekend.

Agreed. I have to say I watched it yesterday and I couldn't help but think what a good movie it was. True, action was slow and Leia was floating in space but everything was masterfully carried out. It didn't feel rushed and pieced together like a puzzle that didn't fit together. It had a plot and delivered. And a shot of the first order ship being split in half by the resistance cruiser is still my most favourite caption in the entire series.

Who is the last Jedi?

Is it just me and my wishful thinking or are there others who think like me?

No matter how I look at the ending of the Last Jedi I cannot but think that Luke meant Ben as the last Jedi. I don’t think he meant Rey at all.

I know I know what is she talking about??!!! But think about it!

It was Ben who had actually received years of proper Jedi training. Being force sensitive doesn’t automatically make one a Jedi ( see Leia ). So I am very sorry but Rey is not a Jedi, she is a Force user ( and nooo being able to wield a light saber doesn’t make one a Jedi either ) which doesn’t mean she can’t become one.

Wouldn’t it be quite ironic if, in all his hatred towards the Jedi, Ben forgot the Jedi won’t end until he himself dies? Perhaps his uncle wanted to remind him that.

”I won’t be the last Jedi” could mean a few things:

1. I won’t be the last one cuz there will be more after me and Rey will make sure of that by training new Jedi Knights.

However, i don’t think this is how it will turn out since he had spent a bigger portion of the movie getting out of his way to make Rey understand the Jedi should come to an end. Even Yoda said they should so why would Luke change his mind at the end?

2. Ben is/will be the last Jedi and when he dies Rey will create a new order of Force users from the ashes of the Jedi.

This better not happen. But with everyone including Yoda himself saying Ben is lost I really don’t know what the future holds for the newly self-appointed supreme leader.

3.Ben is/will be the last Jedi cuz after the war he and Rey will train a new generation of Force sensitive kids.

Isn’t this the future we all hope for? A new order of Grey force users?

All I pray for is that Ben doesn’t die and Disney doesn’t achieve peace in the force and the galaxy by wiping out the troublesome Skywalkers.

The Rise of Skywalker? More like The Rise of Palpatine

This movie should be remained The Triumph of Palpatine.

How could they have killed all Skywalkers???

I don't care Ben lives on in Rey or whatever stupid sh**. He was supposed to live on, the last skywalker who finally find peace. It would have even been poetic how finally, a Palpatine and Skywalker are united and at peace.

I can't even... I am sooo angry!!!

What matters is that the Palpatine line continues and Skywalkers ended. What a load of bulls***.

I know they said they wanted to end with the Skywalkers after this movie but come on.... I thought perhaps they were simply not going to use their characters or something.

I know Ben aka Kylo Ren was a villain, but he was a SKYWALKER!!! THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO SAVE HIM!!!!

The 1 thing, 1 thing I didn't want and I feared was new Return of the Jedi... And it happened!!! ZERO ORIGINALITY, I mean if a director says he is bad an endings, why the heck do you give it to him to direct and co-write???!! WHYYYY!!!??

Aaah, too angry with all this nonsense!!!

This is the most beautiful thing I have seen this year, I just can't cope with what happens next. How could they have done that!!! Give the audience a kiss and then make him diee!!!!!!!!!!

I am outraged!!!! This is not a happy ending for them. The main heroine'a love interest dies! What the f*** is this?!!!

Rey's cheerful and hopeful face when she sees him alive and she is alive, she is soo extatic she kisses him... And only to have him die in her arms???!!!!

This is a bloody melodrama!!! Not a cheerful and hopeful movie!!!!

Don't freakin set up a villain as a love interest if you are planning on killing him!!! Rey should have been set up with someone else, even Finn!!! I don't care who! !! My heart is broken!!!

I would have been better if there was nooo romance whatsoever in this trilogy.

how can you be so hopeful? I'm sick of my sadness. . :(

I’m not being hopeful or optimist, I’m being pragmatic here.

Proof these people actually saw TROS last night? There is none. People can make up whatever they want for either attention or spread chaos among the fandom (it happened before, even from Reylos)

“Spoilers” and “leakers” keep contradicting each other and mostly resorting on stuff we already knew from trailers and promos mixed with JP’s leaks. They also keep referring to the Sith holocron as “wayfinder” (like JP did): holocrons are part of the lore and since at least one will be on the film, I’m sure Kylo will reveal what it is and use its proper canon name (to enlighten the audience). If you have listen to the soundtrack, it’s obvious the first scene of the film will be of Kylo Ren on one of his missions. Yesterday, the Visual Dictionary leak revealed he’s been searching for Sith artifacts and that Palpatine was behind Snoke. There’s nothing new here: if you know where to look, you already know the entire first act of the film, maybe second as well.

After TLJ world premiere back in 2017, we got actual footage of the film (videos): Kylo and Rey touching hands, Kylo’s shirtless scene and Kylo and Ren teaming up to defeat the Praetorian Guards. There is nothing of that sort this time around, only a few screencaps with no context or dialogue whatsoever.

Star Wars is a saga for children, above all, and DLF chose Christmas time on purpose: most kids also love Kylo Ren. Will they truly ruin kids’ Christmas? Good luck to their parents if that’s the case.

There’s the freaking “Across the Stars” theme in the last track of the film

And finally, ever heard of the incredulity of Saint Thomas? Well, I’m just like that: a skeptic who refuses to believe without direct personal experience

The reason this is a movie for kids is exactly why Ben had to die :*(. This is the message for kids, if you do something bad don't count on a happy ending. Also, no main villain ever got to live on in star wars, apart from Palpatine as it looks and his bloodline so I guess that's why Rey changed name because she didn't want to be associated with that family but with a good family. So we get a goody goody Mary Sue survive and carry on the legacy instead of a villain last minute redeemed all round character Ben Solo.

Unfortunately, the general audience expects/anticipates Kylo Ren/Ben Solo to die to atone for all his deeds and so Disney delivers.

Excuse me while i go away and bury myself in watching shows with not so tragic romance and a happy ending...

This is literally the worst day of this year. I am probably exaggerating but for real, I've lost the will to see that movie. I've been there already a month ago but then we were fed some encouraging footage (silly me for believing this propaganda) and leaks and I thought hold on, it can't end like that!!! It can't end like that!!!

I literally have nothing to look forward to in that movie now that I know how it ends. Even all the good staff that would be there throughout the movie are worthless because

of that ending. No wonder some people said it was a creepy and weird fanfiction. Screw you jj. You cannot write anything original. Just like a new hope remake force awakens. We are just being served a remake of return of the jedi. Fabulous!!! There goes originality for you!!!

Perhaps I am biased ( ofc I am ) so perhaps once I cool off I will somehow enjoy the movie for what it is for an ordinary viewer who ONLY EXPECTS an OK movie with special effects.

I mean the freaking message of the movie is: the Skywalkers were the troublemakers of the galaxy and once they are gone everything is back to peachy?? Really??!!! That's the message?!!
