give me a whumpee who constantly uses magic for small things or inconveniences, and one day it just adds up and they cant use their magic, or they need to perform a really powerful spell but it takes a lot out of them rendering them unconscious or half passed out at the effort

you know what kills me? when the whumpee, clearly delirious with fever just keeps blurting out things about their past trauma accidentally, slurring their words but almost sounding detached as if what happened to them wasn’t completely horrifying and of course the caregiver is clearly shocked and taken aback, but the whumpee just keeps going 

bonus points: they keep saying after each revelation but its okay, its okay, i deserved it, its okay

bonus bonus points: they become progressively more delirious and start hallucinating that the whumper is in the room with them!
