The fact that the only thing that stops Arthur from running his sword through Uther’s chest was Merlin’s voice calling his name just straight up kills me. Merlin doesn’t even say anything important, just calls Arthur’s name and Arthur stops moving instantly. Arthur was aiming to kill, all the fury in his face, in the way he held his sword. He truly intended on killing Uther, he doesn’t stop even as the doors open, it’s only when Merlin’s voice comes that he stops midway through.
