"Hey" Mike broke his train of thought grabbing his hand.

"Don't look at him." he said demanding every ounce of his attention.

"Look at me" Mike pulled him onto the dance floor, twirling him as he did.

His breath caught and his eyes widened.

In all honesty the top of his head went totally numb and he forgot to breathe.

‘This is’

A soft nervous breath of laughter escaped his mouth as he met Mike's intense gaze.

Mike leaned in close and whispered, "Relax, Will" His mouth was so close to his ear that he could feel the smile Mike wore.

‘HOW’

The music transitioned into something slower, and Mike pulled him closer, arms wrapping around his waist.

"Is this okay?" Mike sounded...

‘Is he nervous?’

"Yeah, yeah. It's okay" he breathed leaning his head on Mike's shoulder.

‘Maybe... Maybe I'll just pretend for a moment’

They swayed from side to side listening to the music.

He felt a dull ache spread all over his body as they moved. An all too familiar feeling that he hadn't acknowledged in a long time.

Morning” Mike groaned

Will rubbed the top of his forehead then his temples. He tried to speak but only managed a weak whine.

“I think I had too much last night” Mike moaned scooting back from him in the bed wincing as he did.

”shhh” Will finally managed.

Mike lay there scanning Will’s state, assessing the situation the way he did when he was coming up with a plan.

“Okay. We need coffee.” Mike said grimacing.

”Just leave me here to die” he whined.

“I’ll go get it, and some aspirin” Mike gave a soft chuckle and winced at the noise.

“You really are Mike the brave” he whispered as he watched him slowly get out of the bed.

Mike chuckled again, “I’ve never seen you hungover before, it’s”

Pathetic I know

”Cute” Mike paused a moment like a child who realizes they’ve made a mistake a moment too late.

Will swallowed and just looked at him too worn out to do anything other than let shock play on his face.

“I mean… funny. You are funny hungover” Mike muttered as he turned the doorknob. “Be back soon”

He pulled the blanket up over his head and tried to go back to sleep but kept hearing it over and over
