âMmmm, no.â He grabbed the book from her hands, âAnd youâre not reading anymore.â
âIn that case what am I doing? Staring at you while you refuse to repeat yourself. Sounds thrilling.â

âMmmm, no.â He grabbed the book from her hands, âAnd youâre not reading anymore.â
âIn that case what am I doing? Staring at you while you refuse to repeat yourself. Sounds thrilling.â
ââ No, I wasnât. I wasnât talking at all, actually⊠But I can be if youâd prefer it.â
âI just was distracted and wanted to make sure. I donât mind either way.â
âNo, I was talking to the person next to you.â She mumbled in a weak attempt at a joke.
âYou see them too,â Willow replied after glancing to her side to be sure nobody else had joined her while she wasnât paying attention.
Elijah let out a soft laugh. âFair enough. I didnât mean to bother you, though. I apologize.â
âDonât worry. Iâm not bothered. In fact I was lost in thought and a distraction from that is rather nice even if it only lasts a moment.â
âToo late, donât feel like repeating it. You know I hate repeatinâ stuff.â
âIn that case Iâm reading. Go away.â
âUh, no, Iâm sorry. I was probably just mumbling to myself. I swear Iâm not crazy, though.â
âI swear I am crazy,â Willow answered with a slight shrug. âWhich is basically me saying I wouldnât mind either way.â
âI think so. I mean, unless thereâs another Willow around.. Then.. Donât know what to tell you. Youâve got a doppelganger around.â
âHaha. What were you saying? I just zoned out. I must be tired or something.â
"Oh dear, Iâm so sorry. Were you talking to me?â
Being a teenager is chaotic because youâre kind of coming into your own, but youâre not an adult; youâre fighting with your parents over responsibilities and freedom.
âHead out where? Here is cozy. Here is nice. Here is.. Youâre here.â
âHead out home, where I will also be.â
âThe pleasure is mine,â he mused inching himself for comfort. âIâm âuhâ new to town, anything special I should be aware of?â
âNew to town? Is run while you still can too intense of a welcome to town warning,â Willow answered jokingly before pausing to consider what to say. âHonestly though itâs a pretty intense place at times but also itâs home. If you ever need help getting around you can feel free to ask.â
The youngest Azarov hummed a song sheâd heard on the radio as she looked through the job listings. Even though she loved the luxury of not having to do anything, she also knew sooner or later sheâd need to grow up. Tapping her foot in irritation, she wanted a job but most of the jobs were crossed out in red pen. âWhy is finding a job so difficult?â She huffed out, Elena was picky about what exactly she would be doing. Her brother was far more heavily involved in the council and running things, it was his full time job. It felt wrong to sit around at home while he was working so hard.Â
âPossibly because jobs are extremely mundane and itâs hard to find something youâll enjoy,â Willow offered as she looked at the paper despite it being upside down in front of her. âMaybe going into places youâd like to apply to and talking to someone would make it easier? All this crossing out seems a bit like admitting defeat or something.â
âObviously this town doesnât know how to throw an awesome St. Patrickâs Day party if it was honestly as boring as people are making it out to be,â though she was sure that most people were happy to have a some peace after Valentineâs fiasco, however, that wasnât the case for Ophelia. Tossing the phone into the sand so she wouldnât hear the beep, beep as her parents sent more texts, she looks up at the woman. âNo parades? No people painted green? No kissing strangers? Whoa, Oak Pines is losing its touch which is such shit since thereâs so many rich people running around.â
âBasically everyone got drunk together and if you werenât getting drunk that was about all that happened. I mean maybe I missed something in the whirlwind of drunken people surrounding me but I donât remember any parades or green people. Green shirts that said kiss me, yes, but even then they werenât getting many kisses.â
He nodded, a little dramatically. âYou know whatâs funny about that? Boring someone to death? Iâm actually quite terrified of that being a thing. So, maybe you shouldnât tell me.â Shortly after a pause, David laughed, shaking his head. âIâm David, and am completely kidding.â
Tilting her head Willow couldnât quite tell if he was being serious. It wasnât until he laughed, which prompted a blush to break out across her cheeks that she knew. âWow okay you really had me there for a moment. Iâm Willow. Itâs nice to meet you, David.â
âWhaaaat? Nooo, I said your name. Gosh, youâre not a dog.â
âSure you did. Do you think itâs about time to head out now?â
Savannahâs eyes tightened despite the pain, and for a moment she abandoned her task of cleaning the cut on her face. âNo shit Sherlock,â She snapped. âI also think my cheekbone is fractured, not to mention the multiple scrapes and the hairline cut I have going on here, but hey. Who cares? Nothing like a little beating, right?â
âOh so youâve decided that it is what it looks like now and itâs my fault you were playing dumb before,â Willow snapped back, unable to stop the swell of anger that rolled up inside of her. One touch and the other could be healed in moments but she was too irritated now to even offer.
âAre you standing outside my door for a reason?â
âOh sorry. I guess I didnât realize Iâd stopped.â
