Happy Pride Month!

Theoretically, Evertree is the creator of all living things in Erdas, while Wyrm is the creator of the bond between humans and spirit animals. Also, Tellun calls the tree the Mother, but the Great Beasts appeared from Wyrm's intervention, so only one conclusion follows:
Kovo: You killed my father!
Wyrm: No, I am your father
It stemmed from the fact that Cabaro, even while feeling fear, kept convincing both others and himself that he would easily defeat Gerathon. But the result spoke for itself.
Additional arts:
And their references:
P.S.
Finding even basic cobra anatomy lessons for art is practically impossible (not to mention references), so knowing where, how, and why to draw certain things is a real challenge. Sometimes the result turns out decent purely by accident, which means next time you have no idea how to recreate it. I tried to capture Gerathon's emotions from the previous comic, but something entirely new came out instead. And the failed attempts where the eyes go kept being erased so many times that I nearly rubbed through the paper, making it harder and harder to draw in that spot each time.
Talismans weren't the only things collected
#Thank you for Gerathon's facial expressions they're fantastic
Thank you! Working with her emotions was the most interesting, because she is one of my favorite characters, I generally love reptiles, and snakes in particular
#Maybe it should be obvious but: who is Zerif wanting to talk into 'choosing the right path'?
#Is it implying dating Aidana is part of a plan to convince the Four to change sides?
As for Zerif, I tried to capture all the popular ships with him in the fandom, at least the ones I've heard about the most, like Garif, Tarif and Zeidana, with a hint of his manipulativeness and scheming in which he is trying to figure things out on his own which of those will be more useful and more correct in terms of his lovesick heart.
If the Conquerors win, it's better to stay on their side with Gar, if something goes wrong, he can at least soften the punishment through Tarik by joining the Greencloaks and the Four at the last moment, possibly even making everyone forget about his schemes by convincing them "That everything was planned exactly this way from the very beginning." If everything falls apart and everything did fall apart, because two out of three love interests resolving their feelings for him in the sixth book, killing each other, cutting off two courses of action then the last lifeline is through Aidana, as the mother of one of the four, who can give him a chance at a pardon, which he'll use to escape or go into hiding.
The problem was that I'd missed that that was Tarik, oops. Do you think he knew Tarik before Tarik was herding around the Four, would Tarik have been one of the Greencloaks he'd had past interactions with?
Zerif would have plans no matter who won the war, wouldn't he. And you're right, can't see Zerif doing romantic feelings without overanalysing them until he can convince himself they're useful to his broader victory and/or self preservation plans. I bet he's lived his whole life in that "manipulative" mindset and wouldn't even know how to turn it off.
Oh, no need to worry about it, since it's my fault that Tarik was easy to miss, given how he was depicted.
As for their familiarity with each other, I myself am curious about how exactly this ship came to be. I don't remember the details, which is actually why I'm rereading it now for moments like these, though considering his poorly explored backstory or rather, the complete absence of one, there are only theories to build on. Even regarding whether the words about him collaborating with the Greencloaks held even an ounce of truth, and whether such a collaboration could have once existed in a genuine sense, where the two might have crossed paths, perhaps because Zerif was sniffing around the organization's affairs for future use, up until the point he became known to them as That Zerif who only seeks to screw everyone over, driven by his insane manipulative ideas, which is why it's worth keeping him at a distance.
Shippers are left to speculate on their own, connecting the dots on whether they were once acquainted, maybe there's no particular reason, or maybe the ship arose because these two were both seeking to take custody of the Four, like a couple after a divorce. (Immediately comes the idea of an AU where Abeke is manipulated longer, while Rollan is pressured through his mother into joining the Conquerors/or Aidana is "healed" faster before forced separation from Rollan, which leads to the boy belonging to the army from the start with "established" worldview drilled into his head, thereby evening out the number of the Fallen on opposite sides two to two. Up to the moment of three to one). Well, I think he won the case here.
The manipulative mindset got so deeply ingrained in him that he probably even sought benefit in the color of his tunic and cloak.
#Seriously you've drawn an awesome Gerathon. Already said that but now I've looked, again and I'll say it again
Thank you again! I'm planning to make more works with her, because there are so many ideas with her.
#She's making her list and checking it twice (or however that song goes)
Even knowing which people you control, it doesn't hurt to write down their check alongside the rest of your affairs.
List:
- Upon waking, kill a random poor soul
- Have breakfast consisting of six human hearts
- Gather in the hall, having verified the thoughts of all participants as to their readiness for the deceptive performance
- Beat Cabaro and obtain the Golden Lion *if the talisman cannot be taken today, make sure Shane retrieves it later
- Morally torment select subject
