the season begins!
saw the tibetan doctor today who's probably gonna become my mentor--absolutely phenomenal stuff, got some clarity on conditions i've been working thru that literally nobody else has been able to even come close to explaining, feeling really good & excited about studying with her
also she told me she actually has a large number of trans & nb clients so she was able to explain some of my gender stuff from a Tibetan perspective... like wow!
AND she told me she's part of a local collective that helps trans & nb folks get connected up with practitioners who are also queer and/or heavily involved in allyship... and she's gonna help me become part of it!

having wild and crazy revelations reading about daoist inner alchemy and folklore of the immortals alongside the intensification of my ritual and fairy practices
Giving this a second thought, I think these attributions have more to do with particular fixed stars/mansions than the zodiac signs themselves, i.e. Taurus -> Pleiades -> lamp incantation.

ngl my own recent experience has been really convincing me that of all the planets, venus is one of the best for working with the dead and demons. i would've thought saturn would be the go to ofc--and maybe it's bc i have an afflicted saturn or maybe it's my night chart--but i really have accidentally happened into a venusian goetic practice and it's really working for me... maybe there's something to it

rhubarb mint kvass and chive blossom vinegar! first ferments of the season i’m very excited
been really enjoying my fixed star candle shrines lately
well i got into the Tibetan medicine apprenticeship i was hoping for which is really exciting but it doesn't start till Losar of next year... so now i gotta figure out what studies to occupy myself with until then... and probably keep myself from signing up for a million other programs in the meanwhile? lol
the physical body is also a spirit and not enough people want to acknowledge that. spirit work isn't just about the intangible
I have a lot of questions for people whose animisim extends to everything but their own body if you identify as an animist but seriously view yourself as a spirit residing in an entirely spiritually dead hunk of flesh, that baffles me
bc wdym you don't see the little cells in your body as sacred and spiritual??? do you understand how many really cool and intelligent little guys r keeping up ur body thru these really cool processes and making up your entire body with teamwork
this gets me so much when it comes to bodywork. ppl are baffled when i tell them i can treat mental/emotional/spiritual problems directly through touch and through the body and i’m like yall... descartes is soooo dead. you are a spirit incarnate... you are everywhere inside you!

does anyone have any experience with magic for finding lost items? i’m in need of a saint medal that i've misplaced, i’m pretty sure i still have it but i've been through like 3 moves since last i remember seeing it... any suggestions?
also in other news i was looking through some of the spells in the GV and i found the one that's about making a mirror for the angel Anael in order to see "whatever one wishes" and this lead me to realize--Anael is also the angel you call on for the authority to summon the six spirits of the Tuba Veneris, in fact the seal you make for her is what you wear during the entire invocatory process... and Dr. Al Cummins pretty explicitly connects Anael to Klepoth in the GV...
so i’m like, crossover working?? make a mirror to Klepoth/Anael and use it as a way to bridge the two grimoires, adding a couple more spirits to the hierarchy? or at least introducing them to each other (if they haven't already met lol). many of their offices overlap and i've already found that they seem to work well together, so maybe it would be a perfect fit?
anyway, the making of the mirror is quite simple, only requires saffron as incense which might be the only trouble (to get a reasonable amount). but i could really see this being a fun way to cross pollinate the two systems in my practice! and i’m on a current bent of trying to make my practice have a more coherent feeling of oneness, like everything fits together somehow. we'll see! notes forthcoming perhaps...
