what i'll always be salty about is a complete lack of female friendship in cosmere books, specifically in stormlight. it's always girls having male friends but never close platonic female relationships. maybe it's a blessing because i don't believe that a middle-aged mormon man can portray it well, but it could be good enough. shallan and jasnah could have been it, but their relationship was thrown under a chull completely. navani and raboniel could have been it, but we all know how they ended. we don't even have a prominent all-female radiant-spren duo (yes, shallan and testament exist, and i hope we get more of them in later books). give shallan a female friend! jasnah deserves one too!

also, i hope we get some flashbacks of navani with evi and ialai, because we know they were close. but overall let girls be friends!!!

you can tell it's bad when i just realized that the main cast does, in fact, include a girl-girl spren and radiant duo. it's venli and timbre. but timbre is such a non-character, ESPECIALLY in comparison to other sprens we met throughout the story. maya, even before the magic of friendship healing, was a more vivid and defined character. AND SHE IS A DEADEYE. a single significant all-female duo, and one of them is a (mostly) non-verbal, non-existent bunch of light. niiiiiiice
