we all love a nuanced villain but i gotta admit im charmed by the ones who just outright say "im going to use the power of EVIL to fulfill my EVIL plans and become queen of all EVIL!!!" its honest. its a classic. i fuck with it.

In a way, the over-the-top villains like that are the most relatable of them all, because instead of playing to moral dilemmas where we probably would still do the right thing in their position, they play to our simple (and not inherently evil) desire to just put aside being good once in a while.

This whole debate regarding the woman who got an abortion after learning the baby would have Down Syndrome is ignoring one crucial element: the woman. I’m seeing so much commentary on people with Down Syndrome, how they’re happy and have wonderful fulfilling lives. And that’s great! But a woman should not be forced to carry a pregnancy and give birth if she doesn’t want to. I don’t care how morally concerning her reasons are. Educating on disabilities to ensure that women are fully informed before making a decision on whether to continue a pregnancy is amazing…but it needs to be done without shaming her for choosing to abort.
