That brief part of the final boss battle in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 made me think of Xenogears

So I’ve finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3 main story yesterday

I really had a good timing btw, they announced the DLC story just a few hours later haha

Anyway, I really enjoyed the game, I’m still not sure if I appreciate it more than the first game.

About the ending...

Well it was so bittersweet, I loved it! And honestly I didn’t expect Bionis and Alrest to be separated again, so it was even more moving to me. Not sure how I feel about the fact everything seems to have turned back to the moment before the worlds collided... Still, Noah hearing Mio’s offseer song is likely to suggest that everything actually happened and everyone kept some of their memories of Aionios. So, maybe a Xenoblade Chronicles 4 will clear that up?

Also, about that photo Nia’s looking at, wtf are these babies? Rex became polygamous in the end?? He really meant that when he replied to Nia’s confession saying he loved all of his friend lmao (and I guess Mio is Nia’s daughter? Especially considering what Nia is about to say in a quest later?) Still I’ve wished Melia had a similar picture instead of looking at Monado, but it was also a nice nod to her feelings about Shulk. By the way I’m so glad about the way they put her back, she really got a regal, charismatic and commanding presence, I love her so much.

About the story, I’m not sure I’ve fully understood everything. Like, how come the original Noah and Mio were from the City and even got a child, but ended up recycled each time? Why did they ended up in the flame clock cycles? And I guess their were both split in two personas because they both got extremely strong feelings of regret (the Moebius, N and M) and strong feelings of hope (the characters we play, Noah and Mio), but I feel I’m wrong haha. Or is it simply a part of Z’s game?

But I’m sure the DLC will give us many answers. And probably many more questions haha.

Also I didn’t buy FE Engage because the character design really doesn’t suit my taste. I know it’s silly since I love the FE games mainly for their gameplay. But I just can’t get over it.

And there’s the fact I was really disappointed by Pokémon Scarlet/Violet versions. So let’s say I’m not ready to face this one more time with a franchise I love haha

I guess I’ll just wait patiently while reading all of your opinions about the game, and who knows, I might give it a chance later.

When it got announced, I didn’t get the hype because I wasn’t that fond of the second entry in the main series, but Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is amazing.

I can’t believe I didn’t play it until now. It gives Xenogears vibe. A great sequel to what was supposed to be, I guess, a single game.

It’s been a long time since I felt that with a videogame. That feeling you get when you’re working at the office and you’re like “I can’t wait to go back home to see what’s next in the story”.

I almost fainted because of the price of the collector edition of Xenoblade Chronicles remake, but I preordered it anyway haha.

Can’t wait!! It would have been the perfect game for that time being stuck at home.

The menu revamp looks nice. But I saw there’ll be only 7 characters slots, so, no playable Vanea I guess. :(
