Ever since hearing of Fillan’s fear of drowning, she’s been reluctant on whether she was able to teach him how to swim or not. His knowledge would not rid of his fear, but it will at least help. Yet, if she fails at her task, it would be a heavy weight dilemma on her shoulders.The splash was enough to garner her attention.Following the loud sound with wide eyes, she caught eyesight of a familiar body sinking. With a quick motion she made her way over to the struggling human and made her way behind him, arms wrapping securely around his waist. She rose above the water with him, refusing to let the other go. “Relax, Wolf.” She cooed, swimming to the ledge. “What happened? Are you alright? Fillan?”
"Yea! .. I will —It was only water I guess..!!"
The thief nodded approvingly, starting to wring out the ends of his coat. "Ugh —Bloody water, I’m tellin’ you!" He couldn’t help the shiver running over his body. he slung arms around himself and pressed his lips together to keep his chattering teeth quiet. I could only pray for not getting a cold from this..
A large amount of worry left her shoulders visibly, the weight feeling much lighter now that she knew he was going to be alright. "Ah, good." She watched the human ring out the water from his clothing, much like she would ring out her hair so it could move properly against the wind.
Hoisting herself up on the wooden planks next to him, wishing her cold hands would manage to warm him up just as his had once did to her. "Here." She lifted a golden necklace from her neck and placed it around his. "Sell that and use your money to get something warm... I heard it helps."

Filan held tightly to the mermaid until she placed his hands on the saving wood of the walking plank where he could pull himself up with the last of his strengh being left after this struggle. Wet to the bones and out of breath, coughing and gasping for air, the boy rolled on the pier, just letting his tired body fall on the wooden planks where he curled up on his side, needing the moment to calm down again. He spit some water before he could get himself up to a at least partly sitting up straight position. And while he stroke the dripping hair out of his eyes, Fillan slowly turned around to the mermaid in the water under the pier.
"Thanks.." He said breathless, blinking havily as he actually seemed suprised to be able to see clearly again, the salt still burning in his eyes.
The mermaid stayed in wait as the human had taken his time in catching his breath. Her gaze was narrowed and her mouth was barely parted while she attempted to chance a glance to see where she could see his face. The audible gasps and coughs were unmistakable and perhaps the very thing she needed to hear from him.
"It's not a problem," She returned, attempting another smile. "You're going to be okay, right?"
"A mermaid!!!!? You are a MERMAID!!!?"
"H— Yes, I’d appreciate it if you’d keep your voice down, though, please…"
Fillan took a deep breath, taking the chance to finally have someone who was interested in his, for other men maybe not so glorious stories.
"Oh well then I could actually start from when I was a little kid!! I mean —not a toddler, but still one of those anklebiters, yanno?! ‘Cuz I was left alone ith my sister, she killed our parents back then! Just to get the full heritage and all that —she’s pretty egoistic, and she still is! Awful, Ah’ tell you! Can you imagine how tough I must have been, especially when she went off and left me alone on then, too ?! I mean —I sometimes can’t believe how brave I was myself!"
Anklebiters.She's unsure what 'ankles' were, or why anyone would bite them-- but she acts as if she's not clueless. It resulted in a bit of an awkward smile, eyes lifting to listen to the human speak. As the story went on, she began to frown and her eyebrows lifted. This wasn't a very happy story.
"Fillan, that's horrible! You're so brave, and so strong for that!"
"Help me!"

Water rushed through his lungs, he swalloed a lot of it, the salty waves already had already pattered against his eyes and took his sight, so Fillan was almost caught blindly in the cold water surrounding him pulling him down and stunning him softly and brutal at the same time.
The short cry for help was the last he could use his breath for before he slipped under the surface, losing control over the situation completely. And then there were these hands, thin but strong arms and a body he could take hold on, and Fillan used the chance, grabbed for what he could reach, fingers digging into slippery scales, touching the sensitive fins in his desperate try to survive. A successful one, as Finch had pulled him back up to the water surcafe, gave the robber a chance to gasp for air and rub the salt out of his eyes. He shivered havily, still in panic as it seemed, klinging to the mermaid as the only thing he could hold onto in the deep water around him. Words couldn’t be formed under the heavy breathings and coughs yet, Fillan just gasped and swallowed the air like the water before. But he nodded shortly as an answer - at least something.
Violet eyes stared straight ahead, swimming faster to their destination. When they finally reached surface, she took the human's hand and helped him onto the dock.
"I'm sorry Fillan," she begins. But for what? It wasn't her that had caused him to drown, she saved the poor human-- but she's mostly sorry that she isn't human and that he had to visit this sea to speak with her. How many times does he have to drown for him to suddenly quit visiting her? How many more stories could he tell until she ran out of treasure and he wants nothing to do with the mermaid any longer?
How much longer does she have with this human until she becomes lonely again?
She waited for the two-legged being to sort out his breathing, watching him closely.

It was the initial surge of pain that’d felt the most crippling. Like a flare of sharp electricity would the surge of agony split through her fins, whatever she’d been carrying at the time clattering to the bottom of the sea in an instantaneous manner whilst dainty hands darted to grasp the wound that now bled out. Sable rimmed lids flinched their way closed, shoulders hunched and rounded against the sudden onslaught of pain that had been born via the sticks that the humans carried to hunt large underwater wildlife. Pallid lips tightening together in order to attempt barring a breathy noise of pain, the burn would continue for the greater part of a full minute— such a short period of time feeling far longer. The salt of the sea had stung, which was why she found relief upon the shifting sands of the beach, and as violet eyes frantically looked around, she found no human present. In order to calm herself down, a harmony was sung. And the pain would eventually ebb away to keep herself distracted, warm blood slipping between fingers. She’s left relatively unaware of any footsteps that dragged themselves upon these sands.
