i love the seattle kraken and torrent above all teams. occasionally dabble in the coachella valley firebirds. fond of many players but my favourites are berkly catton and corinne schroeder.

mainly a hockey blog, i like rpf. 18+ only, i write fic sometimes. i'm southeast asian so I'm often late to things timezones are rough.

my hockey tierlist! no hard feelings, i do appreciate some players from other teams and anyone is free to follow as long as you don't hate the kraken and torrent.

top 3 categories are my favourite teams, will update this once i form a solid opinion on the pwhl expansion teams.

idk. personally I just think it's wild that a woman most famous for being the first woman to play in an NHL game has chosen to support the career of a proud advocate against trans women in women's sports. like, the whole "biological advantage" nonsense argument is entirely dependent on the idea that cisgender men are inherently better at sports than cisgender women. is that not the very idea you set out to disprove, manon? didn't you successfully disprove it over and over, playing in boys leagues and being just as good, if not better than them? what the fuck are we doing here if not showing that your assigned sex at birth doesn't determine your ability to play hockey? what the fuck ever. this sucks.

obviously losing players sucks but tbh the thing I'm finding the most frustrating about this expansion draft is. how do I put this. founding PWHL teams got two full seasons to settle in before expansion. Torrent got on the ice together for the first time in November 2025, had the Olympics borrow many of our key players and send several of them back injured so they couldn't play the rest of the season, and now has to contend with a league expansion twice the size of the previous one that is taking more from Torrent than almost any other team (not to mention the questionable EFO stuff with Knight) while we don't even have a head coach. like yes, we were last in the league this season, and some of the reasons for that were internal, but we're also not being given the same chance to work through our growing pains that every other team except Vancouver got to have (and Vancouver so far has been insulated from the expansion draft, so Torrent is on uneven footing with them, too).

I'm coping by remembering that on March 11, 2026 the injury-laden Torrent beat the 1st place, full-powered Fleet.
