I made Flare & Lizzie's pizza and against my every expectation it tasted like nothing
It's sectioned into thirds because I considered different interpretations of what Flare could mean:
Tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese base, plus all of the ingredients Flare listed
The mentioned ingredients are the only things on the crust
Tomato sauce base, plus all listed ingredients
I expected to be able to describe a different experience eating from each third, but other than the occasional hint of tomato sauce, I couldn't. I don't know how to tell you what this pizza was like. All of the flavors came together into nothing, somehow, except for whenever I got a bite of a huge glob of chocolate, making it taste like melted chocolate with a hint of nebulous something, which was not good. It was a goopy mess and far too sticky and heavy. I hated the texture. I kept taking huge bites with all the toppings, hoping to be able to say that it tastes good, or tastes horrible, or tastes. But it doesn't. It's nothing but weird melted chocolate and crust.
Flare was wrong. It's not a taste that lingers. Something lingered, but it wasn't really a taste. More of a sensation of the texture. Some nebulous kind of wrongness hanging in my mouth. This is not the answer I expected to find when I set out to taste Lizzie's terrible pizza.
2/10 experience, I can't sum it up in any way that makes sense, don't put chocolate on your pizza.
I'm not sure this isn't how the Techrot started.
