the last shadow puppets is a crazy band to be into because obviously it cant be considered niche or underrated because half of the leading duo is alex turner from arctic monkeys fame but at the same time if you know them youre either really into arctic monkeys and have started digging up turners other works or gay or both and if you dont know them then i have to be like yeah the guy from arctic monkeys and his best friend put out a fairly good album in 2008 which everyone probably expected to be a one shot act since thats the case for a lot of supergroups and it was a good enough suspicion since they didnt do anything for eight years and then came back with a fucking insane masterpiece of an album that rearranged my whole brain chemistry but you cant really get it until youve watched at least four videos of them being two seconds away from kissing and suddenly it feels like its both a record that was made for them like nobody around existed and like the soundtrack of your life from now on. and i sound fucking insane
