To the WIVES of the pastor side of tumblr...

Did you feel a call to be a pastor’s wife? Like before you met your husband, did you know that God intended for you to be a minister’s wife?
Dear whitehouse,
Why is housing not a right? Why do we have countless Americans dying in our streets? Housing shouldn’t have to be earned. If we consider food to be a right, which we do because we help those who cannot afford to buy it themselves, then why do we not consider housing one as well? Statistically, there are approximately 24 empty houses in the United States for every one homeless person. I’m not saying give them a house. I’m saying do what you do with food. If they make under a certain income, they can apply for a government program in which they receive a certain amount of funds per month based on the number living in their household. Get our people off the streets. Prevent your people from dying in the streets from preventable diseases.
Sincerely, A concerned citizen who is blessed enough to wake up under a roof every day.
GUYS REBLOG. MAKE THIS GO VIRAL. GET FAMOUS PEOPLE TO SEE IT.
This is a real issue & it needs to be addressed.
So I’m $1,240 short a semester of being able to pay for my dream university. (It is $14,760 a semester) After scholarships, work study, all the loans I’m allowed to take, and the little bit of money my parents can afford to help out with, I’m still short.
Someone help me. I don’t know what to do. What can I do to raise money?
Is a gofundme campaign an option? would people even donate?
Reblog guys! What do you think if a gofundme for the rest of it?! Reblog and give her some ideas!!
Hey guys! I’m *hopefully* going on a mission trip at the end of July, but I need help raising the funds for it. It’s only about $180 total, and that pays for the trip and my food,. I can’t afford any part of it right now, so any amount helps. Thank you so much & God bless.
Help her out, guys!!
Serious question here:
What do you honestly think about dressing up for church services? About wearing jeans instead of dresses and skirts or khakis with a polo instead of a suit? Does God care what we look like or does He only care about what we bring spiritually?
Honest opinions here, guys, I wanna hear your thoughts.
(Tagging some of my fav Christian tumblrs, but anyone is welcome to answer & reply!!) ?

I keep getting inspired to start living my faith out daily in my school, and telling random students about Jesus and what He’s done. Then I get discouraged, and tell myself, “You’ve only got a month left. What’s the point? Let a younger one do it.”
THE POINT is that I have a month left. And it may take more than a month for someone to decide to give their life to Jesus, but it takes a moment to plant the seed.
So I’ve decided that instead of viewing my month as a far too short period of time and being negative, I’m going to be positive and say, “I’ve got a whole month to tell a few hundred possibly lost people about Jesus!”
Divorce is not hereditary.
Hi there! My name is Easton Cook and I am from Ozark, MO. I started out my college experience going to Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, AR to be a Bible major; I am now at Harding University in Searcy, AR. I spent two years there and this past year I had the amazing oppertunity to go to Hait…
Hey guys - I don’t know what you can give. I’m not judging you. I’m not pressuring you into this. But I think a lot of us get into the mindset that supporting missionaries isn’t our job, and that’s wrong. It’s not only our job to support with what we can - whether it be finances or prayer, it’s our job to be sent out into the world ourselves (Jesus tells us this in Matthew 28). This guy has one week left to raise the money. I just want to encourage you all to share this, and to give anything you can. Check out Romans 10:
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”e 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Let’s send this guy to Haiti.
Missions are so important, and this guy has a huge heart for them. So as he said, Let's send this guy to Haiti.
What are 3 words that would best describe your ideal teacher?

Many pastors find themselves in a brutal, punishing culture where they only hear from their church members if something went wrong. It’s like all those imbalanced reviews on Yelp where the restaurant was “awful, bad lighting, waiter a moron.” It’s our human nature to write a negative review; not so much a positive one.Sometimes, your pastor gets it right. A single sentence in his sermon spoke to you. That prayer he prayed over you flipped a switch. That outreach event, while not perfectly coordinated, stirred your heart with affections you never knew. Some blog post he wrote really hit the nail on the head. Simple: just let him know about that. Brag about your pastor to your pastor.

❤ on We Heart It.
They think they can hurt me by ignoring me... But being unwanted isn't exactly a new thing for me.
God wants you. The God of the Universe wants YOU. It’s not some Uncle Sam poster where you walk by and of course the army wants you, but they want everyone else and there’s no difference. He’s equally not some Ivy League school that only accepts some people. God wants you PERSONALLY. He knew your name before your parents picked it. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows every ache of your beating heart. He knows how much you need Him, and He wants to accept YOU. And He has a personal desire to build a relationship with you.
He wants you so bad that He sent His Son to die on a cross - to take your place…to win you back.
He will never leave you, never forsake you, never ignore you.
Maybe it’s time to let go. To let go of the people that are hurting you - just for a while. It’s time to let go of the things you struggle with. It’s time to drop the baggage you’ve been carrying, and run to Jesus. If you tell Him all this - all the things you thought could never change…and you tell Him you believe in Him…and you tell Him that you believe God sent His Son to die on a cross for our sins, and that He’s the only way to Heaven….
The things that you thought would NEVER change WILL change.
This isn’t me trying to convert you. I don’t know if you’re a Christian or not. But I know that you’re a human being, and if you’re going to walk away with one message, it’s that you are loved. You are loved more than the love in a Nicholas Sparks novel. You are loved with more than the love of your friends, of your family. You are loved with a love that pursued and chased you so hard, it meant literally DYING to get to you.
Several of my friends didn’t care about me - at least not more than they cared for themselves. Left me behind. It happens to all of us! And at the end of the day, I think our tendency IS to value ourselves above others.
I was alone. The thing about being alone is that whether or not the fault is yours, you’ve got only yourself to blame. And so I stood there, for a while. I cried over it. I was broken hearted over it.
It was then that Jesus said - you are NOT alone and I will NOT let you be broken. Romans 8:18 says that our temporary sufferings can’t even compare to the eternal GLORY that’s coming. Let me tell you loud and clear - that glory is from Jesus, and you can have some of it right now.
You are loved. You are wanted. You are not alone.
There is no better love story than the one you’re living, and God has been chasing you since the day you were born. If you turn around and see Him behind you, and you just look…just take a moment to set things straight…confirm who you are, and who He is.
You will never be the same.
You will NEVER be the same.
It’s in all the places in our lives that feel like the end, that God creates the beginning, for we never truly lived. It’s in the moments that take our breath away, where we’re racked with tears and sorrow that God gives us breath for the first time, for we never truly breathed. It’s in the moments where you have lost love - some far off, unattainable, unpredictable, imperfect thing, that God reveals His love for the first time, for we never truly loved.
This moment is the beginning of a life and love that will last not just till the day you die, but forever.
It’s yours. Take it. Whether this is the first time or the thousandth - confirm who God is - that there is power in the name of Jesus, and give it to Him.
Everybody do this!!!
See you at the pole.
