hi sorry I saw this in the comments and had to respond!!! I used to strongly embody this reply, like I would always think nice things about people and constantly fear that if I told them, they would be weirded out or creeped out or whatever negative reaction I could think of. I don’t know where it happened, probably in the last few years and I’m 25, but I started to take the sentiment of the OP really seriously and I wanted to start telling people the nice things I thought about them. I started thinking about every time someone has complimented me. Even someone I barely knew, and it always brightened my mood in some way, if not fill out stuck with me for many many years after the fact. I started to think about all the negativity in the world, especially on social media where insulting others is deemed the highest comedy, and I started to hold myself to actually giving the compliments I often sat on. And let me tell you, it was the most freeing and surprising experience of my life. The people I thought would say “um okay???” to my “weird” compliments, were actually the most grateful and thankful and receptive to what I said to them. I could tell every time that they were genuinely glad I told them. I think about how many missed opportunities I had to tell people something that could’ve very well made their whole week, and I didn’t even know it.

I’m sorry for the long reply, I really wanted to share this, and I also hope you think about trying to overcome your fear of giving compliments! It’s a real fear, but one worth overcoming. ❤️

🍁A table of contents is a wonderful idea and can be a great help, but it really is up to you.

🍁Try and plan what you’re going to write down and when.

🍁You can write down every idea you have in a notebook aside first to organise and plan if you want (this is what I do but I do consider myself a little bit of a perfecionist haha)

🍁You can print out photos, dry out flowers and herbs, add stickers, doodle and more to decorate your Grimoire if you’d like. It makes it more personal, but in the end the most important thing is that you understand it.

🍁And remember that it is your Grimoire, try not to compare it to anyone else’s and remember that witchcraft is all about personalization. If you do not have a Grimoire that’s okay too, this is your craft and your rules♡

Myth vs Truth:

It is a HUGE myth that psychics know everything that has come & will come. This myth has caused a lot of people to defame authentic readers because they're asking you questions.

A psychic calling you because something bad is going to happen or answering all your questions before you ask them only happens on television. Your reader can not (well, some probably can) read your mind, if you don't tell them what to look for, your question will go unanswered.

Mediumship is not as simple as seeing your loved one and hearing complete sentences. They are shown visions, some can't see the spirits but can only hear them, some only feel their presence, some can see them but not hear them, etc. It is important that you understand the difference between reality and Hollywood.

Mediums don't always get complete sentences, sometimes they can only recieve bits and pieces, sometimes only a word.

It is completely fine for a psychic, medium, tarot reader, etc to charge for their services. It takes A LOT of energy to do readings and some readers don't get any kind of compensation for their readings; no money, no feedback, and more often than it should be happening, no thank you. Your reader deserves compensation for their time & energy.

Think about how much energy it takes to do 3 - 5 free readings in a day, each ranging from 1 - 5 hours a reading (yes, some readings can take 3 - 5 hours to finish). That is exhausting and to honestly believe that doesn't deserve a review, payment, or a simple thank you is greedy and selfish.

There is a difference between a psychic/medium & a diviner.

A diviner does not nessiscarily have any psychic or mediumship abilities. A diviner is someone who connects to the spirit world using divination tools: tarot, pendulum, ouija, scrying, etc. So for them to tell you they have no psychic or mediumship abilities, does not make them a fraud.

Please make sure you know the difference between fact and fiction before getting readings from readers.

I like being completely honest.

why might a black person/someone with similar hair wear a bonnet to bed?

Because it protects our hair. Our hair does not get naturally oily nor moisturize itself. Typically we put oil or a moisturizer in it every other night and put the satin cap/bonnet on. And it keeps in the moisture.

Also, our hair breaks super easily. It can break and dry up on cotton or linen cloth and it is left unhealthy and damaged in the morning. So wearing a satin or silk bonnet helps it to not break and be damaged.

It also helps to retain a hairstyle.

If you have a hairstyle you’ve worked on , like cute twists or whatever, then keeping your hair in a satin bonnet is essential to it looking good the next morning.

I had this really strong feeling that we would run into people from my fiance's job tonight and we did exactly that.
