A magic planchette to say goodbye to negativity. 🥰💕❤️🧼🧜♀️🧚🏻♂️🌛🌝🌜🌙💫⭐️✨🌟🔥⚡️💥🔮🧿
So. While back, I used to work with Hermes. At the time, I was very depressed, cause of my job. I had an interview that allowed me a better job, and I asked if he could help me with it, and said I'd even get a tattoo in his honour (I was very desperate, head wasn't in the right place). Got the job. Time past, money issues happened, life happened. I couldn't get the tat. Job turned sour. I felt like we had a falling out. I've felt guilty ever since. How do you smooth things over with a god?
You need to apologize.
Acknowledge what happened and realize that that you came to an agreement, a buisness arrangement. One where you asked Hermes for something in exchange for something else and even though he delivered, you didn’t.
Imagine if someone did that to you where you expect something in return and they ghost you instead and run off with what you gave them? (Not that I’m saying you ghosted Hermes but my point is) it’s not a good idea to do that to a god —
The general rule is, if you asked a god for something in exchange for something else and they deliver, it is incredibly important for you to complete the exchange as soon as possible.
I’ve seen this happen to Aphrodite devotees where they ask for a lover in exchange for giving her something in return and when they don’t follow through, the lover falls out of love with them and in love with someone else and the devotees go through this nasty and painful breakup.
As for the apology, I suggest you do this thing I call “The labors of Hercules.”
Don’t worry these won’t have you going to the Underworld and getting Cerberus to show off to some King. These labors are basically tasks you asking Hermes to give you in order to show your utmost apology.
Sometimes these tasks take a couple of hours, weeks or might even take a bit longer but basically it’s when he asks you to do things for him.
For example: I’ve done labors where I had wronged Aphrodite so I had to write her or read her a love story every night for a month. One time I had to Read Apollo a philosophical book for a week and write a very deep essay about the intricacies of life and why keeping promises strengthens bonds. For Ares, I had to go jogging every morning for 2 weeks.
You can ask Hermes what he wants and he’ll tell you. Here are some suggestions you can offer him. You can give money to homeless people begging in the street (I do this all the time to keep a solid connection with him and because it makes me feel like I made a difference in someone’s life.) You can offer him his favorite food and give it to him. You can put on comedians for him for a week or so.
Whatever it is, make sure Hermes agrees to forgive you once you do these labors for him and make sure you understand exactly how long he wants you to do it for.
Do not ask him for anything until you are sure he has completely forgiven you.
I hope this helps!
May the labors be kind and the timing be swift and The Slayor of Argos be back on your side.
I really like the “Labor of Hercules” approach that you’re describing here. It efficientely shows that forgiveness is something you work to obtain and is not freely given (unless the offense is very small but in that case, it’s likely the deity didn’t consider it an offense at all.).
Apologizing is important. It means you’re able to be honest towards yourself and towards the gods. It means you’re also opened to learning. Mistakes and misteps happen, but recognizing that you did something wrong is an humbling experience which will serve you on the long run.
Yesss I am so on board with the “Labors” thing. Interestingly enough I just had a convo with Aphrodite about the idea of showing not telling which I think kind of fits this topic.
Its easy to say things, obviously since most of the time our inability to keep up with the words we say are typically what gets us in hot water with the gods to begin with.
So in that case we have no choice but to put action behind our words to show the gods there is actual meaning and substance in them.
“I’m sorry” alone isn’t going to cut it especially if the problem is you not upholding your word to begin with. Which is why the “Labors of Hercules” concept is so perfect! It’s showing not telling the gods that you are not only sorry for your transgressions but you are truly determined to never make the same mistake again.
This is why I love talking with @rosegoldtunic! She’s got all these amazing concepts and ideas that just get my brain going and get me all excited to analyze my religion more!
I woke up to @thegrapeandthefig and @thepastelpriestess talking about this and I’m absolutely loving your inputs so I’m re-blogging it because it’s something I’ve personally done in the beginning of my journey with this religion– Not proud moments, but I have personally broken promises due to a number of reasons and I can honestly say:
The labours have helped me see the value of keeping my word.
But it’s also about hope because if the gods can forgive Hercules (Heracles) for killing his wife and children and then doing impossible tasks for 12 years, I’m sure they can forgive devotees for doing less offensive things.
But just because they are less offensive does not mean the devotee is free to keep breaking promises.
They need to really learn the lesson behind the importance of keeping a promise and not do it again or to understand the weight of their promise.
The number one thing I wanted to really drive is the fact that keeping oaths are so important to the gods who swear on the river Styx when they make oaths and promises.

🍀 🍄A summary of the Sabbats 🍄🍀
When I was a baby witch, it was really difficult for me to understand the Sabbats and the wheel of the year. To help all my baby witches, I made a short summary to make it easier.
🎄 Yule (Date: on the winter solstice, dec. 20-23) 🎄
This is the Sabbat for celebrating rebirth. Many people celebrate it similarly to Christmas, with gift giving, feasting, and wreath making. People will often kiss a consenting partner under a sprig of mistletoe for good luck.
🐏 Imbolc (Date: feb. 2) 🐏
This Sabbat celebrates the return of spring. People make corn dollies and set them in a basket next to a symbol of masculinity. Many Witches will clean out their homes during Imbolc.
🐣 Ostara (Date: on the vernal equinox, Mar. 20-23) 🐣
This Sabbat celebrates the coming time of fertility. Egg decorating is common during this time.
🔥 Beltane (Date: May 1) 🔥
This Sabbat focuses on fertility. Many Pagans choose to conceive children at this time (or just to enjoy themselves sexually with a partner). Beltane festivals are often high energy, with plenty of dancing and bonfires.
☀️ Litha (Date: on the summer solstice, Jun 20-23) ☀️
A Sabbat for celebrating the longest day of the year, as well as for mourning the shortening days after. Some Witches burn bonfires or light candles to represent the Sun.
🌾 Lughnasadh (Date: Aug 1 -> 1 day before my birthday!) 🌾
I love this Sabbat but I’m not able to pronounce this name :). This is the first of the three harvesting Sabbats. There are festivals of grain and bread. People make gingerbread men during this time.
🍁 Mabon (Date: on the autumnal equinox, sep. 20-23) 🍁
This is the second of the three harvesting Sabbats. Witches give thanks to the Earth and the harvest. Celebraters will make and drink wine at this time.
⛄️ Samhain (Date: nov. 1) ⛄️
This is the last of the three harvesting Sabbats. It is also the festival of the dead. The veil is at its thinnest at this time. Witches will sometimes hold a big feast during Samhain.
Feel free to contact me if you have more questions!
Blessings,

Happy Mabon!
“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.”

Old-timey Tarot Meanings
Circa 1838, a cartomancer by the pseudonym Julia Orsini published a companion book for the Grand Etteilla II tarot.
Pictured above is the Etteilla III by Éditions Dusserre, which is to this day distributed with that same booklet. The meanings provided reflect concerns and habits of yore.
Some excerpts are also oddly specific. Enjoy!
Stars, similar to The Emperor: “A magician that you met has made a lot of wrong predictions.”
Prudence, similar to The Hanged Man: “[If near the King of Coins,] you will fight a brown-haired man.”
Temperance: “This card could announce an accident after bad preparation of food taken in a meal.”
Plants, similar to The Moon: “[The Querent’s] party in the country will be affected because of the rain.”
Enlightenment, similar to The Sun: “[An older woman’s qualities will soon] be noticed by an older gentleman who will offer her his heart, his fortune and a wedding ring.”
King of Wands: “An uncle in a faraway country, who has never given any news, has made fortune and has made you his heir. He will soon come for a surprise visit.”
Five of Wands: “You will be robbed next time you go to the theater.”
And last but not least, my favorite—a possible meaning for the Ten of Cups: “this card predicts [a man] will have a duel which will end with an appetizing lunch.” ⚔️🍔
There are, of course, many other such meanings!
References to marriages, sailors and hidden fortunes abound, but these cards also read beautifully in modern times.

teaching is a capricorn profession, reigning in on becoming a master for subjects, courting productive discipline, and shaping a society. capricorns make great teachers because they have the diligence, the respect for society, and the respect for learning and paving the way for young people to reach their own ambition. capricorns are leaders, and control can be essential. it can be hard for the capricorn to wrangle with reality when they have lost control of a situation, work, finance, or a relationship. capricorns always feel like the care-taker, and see the foundations of life as being their responsibility to uphold, including providing for others, relationships, and the efficiency of society. their long term vision for success can be far ranging and vivid if they reign in preparing for aquarian ideals - establishing equality, safety, and utopia
