When Everything Says “This Is Your Path”… But You’re Not Moving

There’s something deeply frustrating about knowing exactly what you’re meant to do—and still feeling completely stuck.

All the signs point in the same direction. Astrology, Enneagram, intuition, lived experience… everything says I’m meant to be this spiritual, witchy, metaphysical storyteller. Someone who gathers knowledge, translates it, and helps people understand the world around them in a deeper way. Not just as a passion—but as a career.

And yet… I’m sitting here wondering why it hasn’t clicked into place.

Because it’s not like I don’t want it. I do. I want the life that comes with it too—success, recognition, stability. Yes, even fame and fortune. But not from a place of greed. If anything, I imagine building something bigger than myself—supporting others, giving back, creating opportunities, being the kind of person people want to work with.

So why does it feel like I’m not getting anywhere?

For a while, I told myself maybe it was because I wasn’t posting enough. And sure, that’s probably part of it. But the truth goes deeper than that. I’ve been living on autopilot. Not because I don’t care—but because I’ve been in survival mode. And survival mode doesn’t leave much room for building dreams.

When I really look back, I can’t say I wasn’t trying. I was at my computer, creating constantly. Brainstorming, researching, refining ideas. But I wasn’t actually sharing.

I told myself I was preparing. Making sure everything aligned. Making sure I stayed consistent. Making sure I couldn’t be wrong or contradict myself later. I was rehearsing conversations that hadn’t even happened yet—imagining hate comments, defending myself before anyone even asked a question.

At some point, all that preparation stopped being helpful. It became a shield. A really convincing way of not starting.

And here’s the part that really gets to me: I have done it before. I’ve posted. I’ve built platforms. I’ve reached thousands of followers. And still… barely 100 views.

That kind of disconnect messes with you. Because it stops feeling like “just keep going” and starts feeling like “what am I missing?” What are they doing that I’m not? What do they understand that I don’t?

I start studying everything—hooks, trends, timing, structure. Trying to find the formula without losing myself in it. Because I don’t want to copy anyone. But I also don’t want to stay invisible.

Then something my friend said hit me harder than I expected. Maybe the problem isn’t that I don’t know what I’m doing. Maybe it’s that I’m trying to do everything.

Creator, editor, marketer, social media manager, analytics tracker—and somehow still be a person on top of all that. That’s not one role. That’s a whole team.

And maybe that’s why it feels so heavy. Because in my head, I’m not just trying to post a video. I’m trying to execute a full vision—perfectly. But I don’t have the army to do it.

Maybe I’m not meant to be the entire army. Maybe I’m the director. The one with the vision. The one who sees how it all comes together. But being the director without a team means I either burn out trying to do it all—or freeze trying to do it right.

There was one part of that conversation I haven’t been able to shake: what if they’re not doing anything I’m not… what if they’re just posting?

Not because they’re more talented. Not because they’re more prepared. But because they’re willing to put something out before it feels ready.

And that stings a little. Because I care so much about getting it right that every choice starts to feel like the wrong one. Every post feels permanent. Every idea feels like it has to represent everything I know.

So instead of choosing something, I choose nothing.

And then there’s the part no one really talks about—the silence. The waiting. The moment where you show up, and people don’t stay.

It makes you question your pace. Your delivery. Your presence. On Twitch, I felt too fast. On TikTok, too slow. But maybe I’m not the problem. Maybe the world just moves so fast now that anything natural feels slow.

Like standing at a register—are you actually slow, or is everyone just in a rush?

I’ve also been sitting with another question: should I be sharing this with people I know?

Because when people start businesses, it’s usually friends and family who show up first. They support, share, encourage. But this path… it’s different. It’s not something everyone understands. And not everyone will accept it.

So I’ve kept distance. For privacy. For protection. For peace. But that distance comes with a cost. Because then I’m building something alone—and wondering why it feels like no one’s there.

For a while, I thought maybe I needed permission. Permission to start. Permission to be seen. Permission to do it imperfectly.

But now I’m not so sure.

Because I’ve had the ideas. The vision. The ability. What I’ve been missing isn’t permission.

It’s momentum.

I don’t think I lack purpose. I don’t think I lack talent. And I don’t think I’m on the wrong path.

I think I care so much about doing it right… that I’ve made it almost impossible to do it at all.

And that’s a harder truth to face than not knowing. Because it means the next step isn’t about learning more.

It’s about doing before I feel ready. Posting, before it’s perfect. Showing up even if it’s messy.

This is maybe a really silly question but I’m genuinely really curious and I’m very sorry if this is in any way offensive/super ignorant but is there such thing as christian witchcraft?? It feels super antithetical because like obviously historically Christian’s have been the ones oppressing witches and pagans and so like I totally understand if not. I guess I’m wondering because there are parts of Christianity that I love and hold very dear to me but I also can’t really stand how it has been used and twisted historically and in the modern day. But I love the idea of a loving universe, a loving God, one that isn’t uncaring or unfeeling, that not only loves but loves me and everyone specifically and individually and within the communities they exist within. But I feel like I need to separate that from Christianity because when I think of the Christian god I just :/

Idk. It doesn’t do it for me? Like it just feels like the patriarchy in the most visceral way? Like I mean literally the Bible basically starts with the five patriarchs and keeps running from there. But at the same time there are parts of the mythos in the Bible that I love. Like I’m a big fan of Mary and Jesus and their relationship, it’s just lowkey fascinating. And I love the ancient language and how words for the soul and the breath are almost interchangeable, I love how it explicitly states that humans need to actually care about the earth and be mindful in the ways we effect it. I think there are genuinely beautiful things in it but I don’t really want to call myself Christian anymore? But I do still feel such a strong connection to many of the pieces to it?
