Spangel Fanwork Marathon 2026 - Deadline Approaching Soon!

It's getting to be that time! Yup, works are due on the 28th this year (if you can get them in by 10 am US Pacific time on the 28th of April that'd be great but if they're a little later that's fine) and we're coming up to that deadline! We have not met our goal of two weeks of reveals yet.

So, please submit your works ASAP!

I will be offering emergency extensions only this year. Please contact me if you need them and you will be granted an extra two days. If you're going to need an extension, please contact me before the deadline!

Please try to get your work in on time if possible! Having all works in before May 1st really helps me have the time I need to get the reveal schedule sorted out, especially while I juggle my irl responsibilities.

Disappointing

I want to clarify something.

Originally I had no intention of addressing this publicly. My plan was to handle the situation privately and move forward quietly. However, I am now seeing people being pulled into accusations and speculation over something that has nothing to do with them, and at that point it becomes important for me to speak up and clarify my position.

A concern was brought to my attention anonymously. After receiving it, I took the time to review the information myself and look into the situation carefully. I did not act impulsively or based solely on someone else’s word. I looked at the information, compared what I was shown, and made my own assessment. Based on what I saw and my own judgment, I made a decision regarding my personal boundaries and who has access to me. That decision was mine alone.

This is not a turf war, and it was never intended to become one. It is simply a boundary I chose to set after reviewing the situation myself and deciding what I am comfortable with moving forward.

What is extremely disappointing to see is this situation turning into a witch hunt, with people attempting to identify who may have raised concerns and directing accusations at others. No one should ever engage in that kind of behavior. Retaliation or attempts to involve innocent bystanders creates an unsafe environment and drags people into something they were never part of to begin with. That is completely unacceptable.

The reality is that this situation should only involve the small number of people directly connected to it, including myself. I care about protecting others from being pulled into something they had no role in, and I will not tolerate innocent people being targeted because of speculation.

I also want to be clear that I don’t wish anyone ill will, and I’m not interested in speaking poorly about anyone involved. My goal here is not to create conflict or continue drama. My intention is simply to maintain my boundaries, protect others from unnecessary harm, and move forward in a respectful way.

I appreciate those who continue to keep this space thoughtful, respectful, and mature.

I’ve been a little M.I.A. lately because I’m currently living out of my car. It’s been an adjustment—not just getting used to car life, but also shifting from writing on my gaming PC to doing everything on my phone. For now, I probably won’t be posting long blogs, but I’ll still share tips, tricks, and little snippets when I can. Wishing you all a wonderful winter holiday, whichever one you celebrate.

Spring 2024 Funding Update

Hi Pillowfolks!

We wanted to take a moment to talk about the status of our funding as we head into the later part of spring 2024. It’s still important to us to ensure we are as transparent as possible to you regarding our finances.

We are very ecstatic to share with our community that thanks to your continuous support we now have enough funding to remain online as a functional platform until at least October 2024.

Rather than sharing only percentages this time we want to present to you the total amount of funding we received from our supporters so far in 2024. These totals include both one-time donations and Pillowfort Premium subscriptions. We need $5,000USD a month for site upkeep and to compensate our Staff.

January 2024: $4,078.58 February 2024: $5,586.22 March 2024: $5,627.57 April 2024: $5,515.81

Note: These numbers are from settled transactions.

And for those who are curious how this compares to our finances in 2023 here is a look at those numbers:

January 2023: $4,416.40 February 2023: $3,774.40 March 2023: $3,827.40 April 2023: $3,703.67

The difference between this year and last year has us cautiously optimistic, which feels great after many months of uncertainty.

It needs to be said again: we continue to be blown away by how our community continues to come together to help us continue to exist. Thank you for continuing to put your trust into our small team. Thank you for continuing to hold us accountable (especially when you let us know when we make a mistake).

We are still planning to update the donation tracker with improved verbiage. We hope that will remove the confusion that donations and Pillowfort Premium subscriptions are separate from our funding goals.

Will there be any Pillowfort Premium Updates?

Promoted Posts and Gifted Subscriptions are still coming this year. We have a bit more information to share regarding Promoted Posts. Promoted Posts will be rebloggable and can be blacklisted. The plan is to have promoted posts be available on a designated page, while also allowing users to choose the option to have promoted posts show up on their home feed.

We are still planning on increasing our Pillowfort Premium prices this year. Before any price changes occur we will consult with the community and take feedback.

Finally, we are going to improve Pillowfort Premium payment notifications so users have a better idea when their renewal is close.
