"Why did you do this?" She asked him simply. He only shrugged non-committally.

His eyes were closed again, but Paul's brow was furrowed indicating he was awake. Irulan gently brushed the hair away from his face [...]

Only when I felt a different kind of pain from the nail that scratched my neck, drawing blood, did I realize I was finally in the familiar surroundings of my room in Caladan. The morning light already sifting through the window curtains. Not in a Council Room. And not buried beneath layers of sand.
