I love language I wanted to say I was rusty at something but then I was like “Wait, there’s no reason another language would use that exact same metaphor, of comparing rusty metal to a person who hasn’t done a skill in a while. I can’t assume that it makes sense to them, I might look like an idiot spouting nonsense if I try to say that I’m covered in rust somehow instead of just bad at this.” so instead I went into my dictionary and carefully looked up the specific phrase “out of practice” and the very first thing it gives me is “oxidado” which is literally the spanish word for “rusted.” Fuck off
