do u guys think the universal translator sometimes has to add context for words that aren’t directly translatable. Like a human calls a vulcan a nerd and it comes out as smart (derogatory)

Bard: Paladin’s oaths don’t allow them to swear, so I volunteered to help out.

Cleric: I think you just like excuses to swear.

Bard: That doesn’t make my job any less important.

So last night I was playing a game of Among Us with some randos. We'd been playing a couple of games that had been completely normal, so when the "incident" happened, it was a shock to us.

I'm a crewmate, I'm ready to get my tasks done and save the ship. So is everyone else and we start to run. Except all the doors in the cafe are closed. Man, the imps started early.

We run around in circles, waiting for the doors and hoping not to get killed. They'll open and we'll be on our way.

Except the doors aren't opening. It's been a long while, and you can't spam the doors, there's a cooldown. So I run to the emergency button.

"What the hell is going on?" I ask. Everyone also seems confused. Oh well, this will reset it. Back to the game.

But the doors are still closed. And there was no animation of them closing, so they've been closed this whole time. We wait and then do another meeting. Two people leave and the remaining imp says that it must have been their missing partner. Now that they're gone, we can go back to normal.

BUT THE DOORS ARE STILL CLOSED. And now the lights are off. We decide let's just vote off the imp and we can reset the whole game. We start another one.

THE DOORS ARE STILL LOCKED AND THE LIGHTS ARE STILL OFF.

We reset AGAIN. This time, we're all happy to see that everything looks normal. Time to play a game. That was weird.

A minute goes by, lights are out. People run to fix them. They're... Not coming back on. When everyone has left that area, I go to try. AND THE SWITCHES ARE GOING CRAZY, back and forth and none of them are on. We know we have been haunted. We don't come out the same people we went in

schools reopened in greece today and among other incidents a mother yanked the mask off her son’s face and told him to never wear a mask, a father head-banged a teacher for saying that his kids will have to wear masks at school, sending the teacher to the hospital, someone tried to sue a school for not letting their kids enter without a mask, parents are protesting in the streets against the use of masks at schools and i heard a woman say that masks are suffocating the children and that they’re bad for their development. not to be radical but since covid refusers want to die so bad just go ahead...
