hey !! I'm an AS student + wanting to study film production at AUB and was just wondering what grades/experience you had before uni??? I read online that only 19% of applicants get accepted??

Haha well I can only speak for Animation ( though it’s probably true for film seeing as I think they both the most ‘popular’ /applied for courses) but it’s true that the university is selective on places they give. For animation everyone gets interviewed and I think that’s probably the only reason I got in. For A levels I did physics, biology and and product design, and I did art as my spare time hobby/ thing I did when I should have been studying for said a levels. I thought I would be far below the skill level they were looking for but apparently not, and I think my interview helped show that I was serious despite having not done like photography/ fineart/ foundation in art and design and only doing it in my spare time outside school. ~~So in summary, yeah only a few people get in that apply, I think film/ animation take about 100 each year, but it’s worth applying for even if like me you thought you had 0% chance! Do it! AUB is great!! ＼(^o^)／
