I get being a fan of specific Starkid content, but at least be willing to give their new and unreleased content a chance!! If you love their content at all then I think it's fair to say they deserve that adoration elsewhere too. This show may not be Hatchetfield, but it is something deep and personal to them. You can tell from the way they're pouring themselves into it that they have high hopes and good feelings going into this show. So PLEASE. Stop saying it's just "not your thing" because you don't know! The theme may not speak to you, but it's a show by creators we care about so give it a chance. GIVE THEM A CHANCE!

I will never understand people wanting consistent free content but not wanting to support the not even handful of occasions a year a company puts on paid content. (And also consistently complaining about said free content mind you) I’d get it if it was all the time but my god it’s 2/3 times out of the entire year and it’s what ensures they can make merch, put out said free content, pay the cast, crew, editors, travel new places and ensure they grow so they can do what folks want. Do I wish we weren’t a capitalist society and so they didn’t have to do it ofc but they are doing their darnest to make stuff accessible for all and make paid stuff worth it. New stuff with most recent previous stuff. They will never win clearly so I hope they just do what they need to do. And also some of yall need to check if you’re actually enjoying a product anymore because you’re clearly not so go find what brings you joy honestly.

Starkid is an independently run small theatre company that relies on fan support for money. Kickstarters are a huge source of income, but things like digitickets are still a source of income for them and should be respected.

Is we start passing around bootlegs, we’re taking advantage of Starkid, who put their shows on YouTube FOR FREE. Accessible theatre is such a unique part of Starkid and if they can’t make money off of the things they need to make money off of, then it will start to affect the accessibility of what content they do put out.

I love when they do TTRPGS like truly because of the character work, improv and acting it’s some of their best stuff. They’ve been incredible I need so much more of it.

i wanted to try to capture what makes working with this group so special, the magic that happens when friends get together to make something. Plus I got to include a bunch of fun footage from the understudy performances.

Do I think people need to talk about topics that have worldwide implications… Yes!! There isn’t not doing politics rn there’s too much at stake. Especially if they’re having people are supporting them monetarily because people deserve to know who they’re giving their hard earn money to. That doesn’t mean however you are entitled to harass them. And also if they’re not speaking on something and you think they should you can choose not to have any interaction or engagement with them. They do have the right to block you if you’re being particularly invasive

If folks put that energy to holding our elected representatives way more responsible and accountable for their actions and voicing their opinions over people with the tiniest bit of clout we might actually see some good and consistent progress in this world.
