Yellow-eyed Ensatina (Ensatina eschscholzii xanthoptica)- San Francisco, Calfiornia

A beautiful adult male Ensatina salamander found within city limits of San Francisco. These bright orange amphibians exhibit Batesian Mimicry in which a harmless animal mimics the appearance of a venomous or poisonous animal (in tis case, the extremely touches California Newt)
